Build quality is supposed to be as good as hoped, though not "perfect". Android wear is stock so no difference there.

Some reviewers say it's too big on the wrist, others say it's totally like a normal watch.

The only negative, and it's a doozy, is battery life is craptacular. I think one reviewer had it die every 12 hours of use. Doesn't appear to be able to get through a full day.

Considering that "All day battery" is the very first thing Moto lists under the specs for the 360, I'm going to withhold judgement until I see more reviewers give it a spin and after I get to try it for myself.

Another major flaw is the big black bar.....

That is a compromise that some will be willing to pay. I'd rather have a small black bottom than a large raise bevel. For people that don't like that option, there is the LG with the raised bevel.

asymmetry - absolutely. It is weird that it "thinks" its a full circle, and it just has a piece missing. It really does look like a section of the screen is broken.

If true...absolute deal breaker. I will wait for someone to do an actual review and test and if this is the case I am going to put that $250 toward something else.

What black bar? Are there any pictures of this?

Edit: I found pictures and that is absolutely disgusting to look at IMO. Especially if you use an analog clock on the round face, it covers the 6:00 position and that is unacceptable. Definitely not buying one now.

It's where Moto stuck the ambient light sensor, etc. Notice that Moto's own press shots tend to use black faces to hide this issue.

And huh, I hadn't realized the negative WSJ review was Joanna Stern, once The Only Good Reviewer At The Verge.

I don't like how big and round it looks. It just doesn't look right. It looks like a toddler's toy to be honest. I like that the screen is nice and visible but other than that it seems clunky. The bar is also annoying too. Not sure why it's there.

Meh...I dunno. I think I'm gonna get a mechanical watch and wait on these things to mature another year.

I don't like how big and round it looks.

It's about half an inch thick as well.

I think that the whole concept of smartwatches has been done wrong (or that there isn't really a good usage pattern for one at all).

I've never read into what you do with the watch. My buddy has a pebble watch and you can barely see anything on that screen. I don't find it useful because If someone calls or texts I probably won't be squinting at the watch to read text or email. Maybe in the car it's useful but then again you should not be trying to read text while driving anyway.

Google search via voice, navigation, notifications, google now alerts (sports scores for favorite teams, weather reports, time to work, traffic updates, it can even prompt you if there are local beach advisories if you are at the beach)

Dont see these watches catching on like tablets or smartphones. Everyone now has their phone in their hand or pocket at all times, I dont see any appeal at using a watch as a middle device.

It has some uses I understand but I'm not yet that lazy that I don't want to pull out the phone. But the stuff you mention makes good sense. My phone is always close to me anyway. I don't think I've worn a watch since high school. I'm more interested in smart contacts or Google contacts.

I think right now the weakness is in not being able to customize notifications. I don't mind that the watch mirrors my notification bar on my phone, but when it buzzes for every damn Gmail, Hangouts, Whatsapp I get, its useless to me.

Before someone says that I can turn off notifications for an app on Android Wear, that means I can't read those messages. I appreciate being able to check in on WhatsApp conversations during the day, but I really don't need a new one buzzing me every 5 minutes.

You have to turn those off in each individual app. I turn all notifications off and selectively turn on only the ones I want anyway.

Well, often I'm texting a friend or something and get an answer like "ok" or "maybe" that doesn't require a response. Easier for me to glance at the watch than grab my phone out of my pocket. Just small things like that.

You will probably be able to set it to silent so that they still appear. But you would need to activate your watch to go through them on your own time. In this case, it's similar to pulling out the phone every now and then.

It would be cool if the watch learns your behavior and when it should show those things. I just don't think they have matured yet. The galaxy gear looks nice and so does the one 360 watch. It would be something cool to have rather than something I would want to wear all day.

Anyway back to the topic I just had an odd thought.

Sounds like a smartphone and a Bluetooth headset would do those better.

No because you have a screen on your wrist, you don't need to look at the phone at all. That's the whole point. When doing navigation with a smart watch, you get prompts on your watch.

Hence the Moto Hint! Surprised no one is talking about this one... basically the non-visual part of Glass.
Now that I like. (battery life is a bit iffy but mitigated by the groovy charger)

That's the kind of thing that would encourage me to get a Moto phone.
