Ebay. My new one was $0.99 and shipping was like 4 bucks to canada. Can't beat that.

ebay. Mine cost like 7 bucks after shipping. They do come from like Hong Kong or Taiwan, so expect to wait a couple of weeks. But they are actually tons better than the OEM battery. My V3c now last a couple-few days of standby time, with talk time in the hours. You know, like a normal phone.

Try this:

Throw that old thing out. Buy a phone that was made within the last 2 years.

I like that site. I wonder if the Kyocera KX5 uses the same battery as the K612.. They look like the same battery.. Same specs.. But I dont wanna get screwed.. I suppose I'll have to find some other place that sells that exact battery but not for the $40 Kyocera or Alltel is asking for.

Meritline has a $9 coupon code you can put in on these right now and get them for $6 a piece. Not bad at all.

monoprice - although it didn't solve the problem.

Anybody else get a new battery and nothing was solved?

I ended up buying one off of eBay for $3.50 including the shipping, LOL! Other places (Alltel, Best Buy, etc) were selling them for freaking thirty dollars. F that.

Also, yes, I could give a damn if my phone is two years old or more. It makes calls and it works. Sheesh

I thought my KRZR needed a new battery, but it seemed too soon, so after a bit of Googling, I ended up powering it off completely and then charging it. Much better now.

I got a cheap $10 battery for my razor once, no good. I had to replace it again in a couple of months. I got one from best buy for $30 it's been great so far. It says just wireless Ultra with SKU10212.

Hehe, I agree. I was using my original cell phone that I got back in 2003 up until last fall. Good old Audiovox CDM9500. That thing was a tank. The plastic casing on it was so scratched up it looked like it had been through a war zone. The only reason I ended up replacing it was it was on it's third battery which was finally getting worn out and the antenna snapped off so the cell signal was pretty bad. Even without the antenna it still got one bar and you could make calls, they'd just sometimes drop out. I could have picked up a new battery and antenna on Ebay for like 20 bucks, but I decided to go with something new and smaller.

FWIW I got a new battery (my second new one, actually) for my V3c a couple of weeks ago and I'm lovin' it. I've had the phone for almost 2 1/2 years and really have no complaints - it looks brand new and works fine for me. I am waiting for the second-gen iPhone to switch. I don't really understand why anyone would get rid of something that has a modern feature set (at least relatively) and still works perfectly.

Before I got my RAZR in August 2006, I had a Motorola V60 from 2002 to 2006, and before that I had a StarTac from '01 to '02. LOL!
