Probably Dune...how was that movie ever popular?

I would have said "Druids" a little while ago but Christopher Lambert is too good to say no.

And the sad part is Milla Jovovich is way hotter than Charlize Theron.

Agreed. That is blasphemy.
I don't know... in my book they are equally hot and unattainable, lol.

Whatever, but "equally hot and unattainable" != "Jovovich is way hotter than Theron."

Worst... movie... ever. Well, at least the worst movie I've ever seen...
Agreed. Wat a POS.

Troll 2

Trust me, you don't know bad movies until you've seen Troll 2. Although, it was so bad to the point that it was amusing
I saw it when I was a kid. It's was really freaky movie back in the day.

Also, Battlefield Earth is not a bad movie if you can forget it has anything to do with scientology.
I loved Waterworld, but I liked The Road Warrior too. Basically the same film, just on water instead of the Outback.

Transporter 2 definitely.
Dude! It wasn't the most believable story but it was fun to watch. Who can't enjoy a chick in a bikini with a submachine gun in both hands, lol?

Not the worst movie by a long shot.

Sub Machine Guns? Hah. That's the one thing the move didn't need was a sub machine gun. It's like watching one guy from the A-Team kick ass through 2 hours. Was I the only one that noticed that with all the guns and explosions none of the guns actually killed anybody? How does a fire hose do more damage than a gun? Ugh. The action in the movie was completely unrealistic. It was like the Matrix but with no..Matrix.

Those were full auto Glocks with "supressors" and 25(?)rnd magazines. Not "sub machine guns".

Blair Witch Project did it for me. The only movie I could get motion sickness from.

It just occurred to me no one has mentioned the second and third Matrix movies, which sucked about as hard as anything I've ever seen (particularly #2).

Boo-urns to you too, The Matrix Trilogy was awesome. People just can't seem to get past the rave/sex scene and convoluted ending, but the story is so much more then that.

We have a kid with no balls whatsoever, called courageous and brave because he killed a wolf, or should I say the wolf jumped onto his sword. He was fighting minotaurs 3x his size in a few days of training.
The old professor is gullible and teaches that you shouldn't be dubious of those in good faith. In other words, you shouldn't be skeptical of magical faries in the sky because people taught them to you in good faith. Absolute brainwashing garbage.
The cg animation looks cheesy.
And even worse, is that it's nearly 3 hours long.
Not the worst movie, but it was SHOCKINGLY BAD. I went in with high hopes too.

Disagree on all counts. Guess you were never a fan of the humoungsly popular children's book. I can't wait for the next ones.

I cannot believe anyone has said Miami Vice yet. SO HORRIBLE. Music sucked so bad too. Plot line was bizarre. Also, there is a night time scene where they have 30 minutes to complete something, next thing you know it's daylight. WTF

Almost like they were writing the script and screen play as they went along.

Haven't seen many of the movies mentioned, thankfully. I wouldn't include many movies that blow, simply because I knew it was highly probable they would blow before seeing them, and this is about shockingly bad. Some I found to be shocklingly bad-

Crotching Tiger, Hidden Dragon- Perhaps all the hype is what led to my totally disappointing experience? I've had friends argue its supposedly, many virtues to me, I didn't appreciate them evidently.

Back to the Future 2&3, Raiders 2&3, and Matrix 2&3, Jaws 2- I hadn't heard much about any of the first ones before buying a ticket for them, they all floored me as surprisingly great movie going experiences. I left them stoked. When you follow them up the way these did, it makes my list of shockingly bad.

Conan the Destroyer- Probably read everything Howard wrote, that got published, by the time I was 12. Loved the first movie, despite the butchering of the chronology and history of the character. The 2nd wasn't even worthy of the Comic books.

The "Cat in the Hat" movie with Mike Myers. So bad I wanted to gouge my eyes out with a rusty needle.

OK, listen up, people (people with good answers to the question can skip this rant)...

The OP put the word SHOCKINGLY in caps. So this means you are a fool for one of three reasons:

1) You can't read and listed a bunch of movies that were OBVIOUSLY bad and not SHOCKINGLY bad.

2) You have a heart condition and are easily shocked.

3) You actually are dumb enough to think that Jaws 12, Leprechaun, or any Uwe Boll movie would be good, and thus were shocked to discover they are bad.

Secondly, to the guy who said "most movies today are crap" ... nice knee jerk post. Movies have always been mostly crap. There are still a lot of good movies that come out every year. At least as many as 30 years ago. Just because you aren't resourceful enough to find good movies doesn't mean they don't exist.

My picks would probably be V for Vendetta and Lord of War in recent memory. Both got good reviews here and online. Both were terrible. I'd go so far as to say V for Vendetta is the worst movie I've seen in 10 years. Genuinely shocking how bad those two were. I'm guessing Lady in the Water was shocking for people who went without reading reviews. I fortunately was prepared for the suckiness and so it wasn't too shocking.

As far as classics go, I'd probably pick The Big Sleep. Such a highly regarded movie in a genre and time I love, but it just did not work at all for me. Very surprised at how much I disliked it considering my affection for other noir from the time.

I would have mentioned that, but I only made it 20 minutes before shutting that dogshit off
