MS Optical IntelliMouse - $19.97

Just came from a Best Buy in Michigan; they were running a price match on the $49.99 Optical Mouse, giving a price of $19.97. Bought 2 of 'em. These are brand new with full warrenty, part # X05-34207. Hope someone else can cash in on the deal.

didn't have to; the department manager had it listed as a "price-match". It didn't ring up as $19.97 at the register but a quick call to the department manager confirmed it and I was out the door.

These are the USB/PS2 versions w/adapter; just finished changing mine over.

Do you know what store the price match is with, the Best Buy Stores I went to didnt know anything about it. This is a great deal, but I need the store.

Pricematching is when a store lowers their prices to those of a competitor, almost always on a customer-by-customer basis, when proof of lower price is established. Obviously in this example Best Buy already had the product price match so it wasn't on an individual customer basis. Note that the majority of stores do not pricematch, and that some online stores do price match.

I used to have a part time job at Best Buy in the computer department. Quite often what they'll do, on a regional basis, is lower the price on an item to match a sale a competitor is having. This appears to be what is going on in this case.

i called bestbuy but they kept insisting i they need a store to pricemwatch it and wouldnt give it to me at 20 bux. Kept asking for a pricematch, I even talked to the deparment manager and he said the same thing. Where did you pricematch it with?

I bought one extra mouse and now I'm thinking it might have been good to purchase a few more and spread 'em around.

Besides, the guys at BB didn't let me have it for 19.99 anyways. They said the price cut was too dramatic.
