dont know if its too hot, but msi has a 30 dollar rebate on those purchasing the 7800GT lite. At newegg its 378 and then there is the 30 dollar rebate bringing it to 348

Most stuff doesn't need more... for now. Its the future stuff thats really going to use it.

However, I thikn there's been some hot deals that have a GTX fairly close to this price. I guess it just depends if you have a few hundred kicking around for a vid card upgrade.

One of the Windows Vista devs said that video RAM will be increasinly important, with 128 being minimum for Vista and 256 or 512 preferred. Important to consider if you're planning on plunking down $300+ for a videocard, even if Vista is over a year away.
