Is this board fully compatible with redhat 7.0? by that I mean, I could boot off the cd and installation would be a breeze. I have had many problems with my asus cubx(440bx) because it has an onboard ata66 controller and it just screws everything up. It is even a pain installing win2kpro on this board. Everytime I try to install linux on the cubx board it just automatically reboots and installing win2k I always get the inaccessible boot device blue screen. So if anyone has an MSI K7T board and installed linux easily, could you please post the information. I have read really good things about this board on anandtech and would love to purchase it, only if it is truly compatible with linux.
oh on the cubx board, you can switch the hard drive to the regular ide slots and load from there, but this becomes a pain after reformatting all the time. Oh and one more question about the Board? what is the price difference between the k7tpro and the proA. Just wanted to know if the price difference justifies going with the ata100 capabilities. any help would be appreciated.
