MSI K8N Neo4 - not booting...

Hi

I've just put together the following system

MSI K8N Neo4
AMD 64bit 3500 Retail box set
MSI 5750 PCI Express gfx card
WD Raptor 74Gb S-ATA HDD
HIPER Silent 525W PSU
4x 512Mb 184pin 2.5v 400Mhz memory..

So.. the problem...

It doesn't work, or to be more precise it doesn't complete the POST.

With the D-Bracket 2 thingy fitted, it gets to a point when all the LEDs are green except for LED2 (this is listed as being the time the floppy drive controller is initialised - makes sense as the floppy does it's little "rumble" then)

thing is it just hangs there...

And to add insult to injury there is no output on the video card either.

I've tried 2 different cards and no change.



Any ideas??

try removing anything plugged into your USB controller slots except for the D bracket. I found when i put my case front USB ports into my neo4 it wouldnt complete the post and would just hang at the PLatinum (press tab to post, press del to enter bios) screen.

Hmmm that is interesting. Those of us having some overclock stablity problems might try removine USB plugs and seeing what happens

well just to be "different" I turned it on this morning and it's fine!!!

the problem is that I am running it and my other PC through a KVM switch and it seems if my other PC is on, it doesn't have the power coming down the video signal to let the KVM switch know it's there!

the reason it was hanging at the point it was is that it was stopped at the "Press F1 to continue"!!!
