Anyone ever have trouble with Msi boards in general as far a the lan ports? I just installed a 12700k with this board and the lan constantly disconnects. I used the driver from the website. Not sure what to do.
I don't think MSI has more LAN issues compared to any other of the brands.
However, with just launched tech there are always some growing pains. Intel has had some driver issues relating to their networking chipsets quite a few times over the last few years. I know I've had some quirks with my motherboard that uses the same I225-V chipset on my Asus B550 motherboard. I was only getting around 350 mbps with a LAN cable plugged directly into it, when my internet service is 1 gigabyte speeds.
I think I've had to uninstall the driver and let Windows 10 find the driver automatically upon reboot to get the full 1000 mbps speeds. I've seen on various forums there have been similar quirky issues from other users with the same LAN chipset.
I changed cords but nothing happened. I uninstalled the drivers and kept reinstalling them but they didnt take. On the last uninstall reinstall i made sure to run as admin and they seem to have taken so far. My Asus Z690 Hero has the same 2.5 lan and i didnt have any trouble with that. When the Msi boots up it takes a second or 2 for the internet to connect. Ill see how it goes in the coming weeks.
