Will the right wingers still cling to the idea that the Russians didn't do anything major and aren't an ongoing threat?

Does anyone think that Trump doesn't have access to all this information? Who here could possibly look at that and think the executive branch of our government should stay out of efforts to investigate, punish, and prevent these activities?

In other news; millions of Americans not only repeated the claims from the Russian propaganda but they continue to repeat it and continue to pretend they weren't duped.

I've been monitoring a couple of facebook accounts of acquaintances who are fundamentalist Christians and very enthusiastic Trump supporters whose facebook pages feature nothing but outlandish memes against Mueller, Obama and Hillary of which quite a few have already been thoroughly debunked and sourced from Russian origins. The many comments in support of those flagrantly fake memes are what truly amazes me though.

These folks have been locked into the hype, the lies, innuendo and accusations that the Russians have floated out into the wild to the point where anything, and I do mean ANYTHING that either denigrates the Dems and Mueller or lavishly supports Trump, no matter how unbelievable and blatantly false they are is taken as fact and treated as such and spread as far and wide as possible.

It smacks of desperation, grasping at straw and a complete lack of objective discernment on their part in this regard.

And might I add that some of these folks of whom I know personally are otherwise of average and unremarkable intellect like myself.

I can't quite figure out what makes them so blind to the truth and the facts of the matter when it comes to Trump and his horrific behavior and deeds.

The right screwed the pooch on this one and its catching up with them. I would imagine that the GOP knew a great deal more than they first led on and they're in damage control mode right now. If the left were involved I'd want their heads on a platter right along with them.

Also, would like to point out that the indictments specifically state that Russian meddling was done to the detriment of Hillary Clinton and for the benefit of Donald Trump. So we can finally put the stupid "Hillary colluded with Russians!" arguments to rest. If there was a woman that Russian bots supported, it was Jill Stein.

Yeah I can't figure it out either. These people, for the most part, seem totally normal until they talk about politics and then they sound like everyone's crazy uncle. If you bring facts to the discussion they simply dig their heals in. I simply can't explain their irrationality. I will say this though, I personally noticed this type of behavior starting around the end of Bush's 2nd term and progressively got worse and seemed to spread.

There is no indication in these indictments that Mueller has completed his investigation. There is indication that Mueller is investigating Americans as knowing participants in this illegal activity. There are existing secured guilty pleas and indictments against Americans connected to this illegal activity.

I do think its mainly about culture and less about race, but I'm sure for far too many that is true. Its hard to tell because talking to my family their worry is that the immigrants are bringing their culture and not working into ours. Its never about jobs or anything about the economy, but the all live in CA so they are likely to know better on that. That makes it far more complex than just race.
