Putin hated Hillary for what she did to him and his country in 2011. It wasn't so much that he wanted Trump to win...it was that he really, really wanted to see Hillary lose, no matter who ran against her.
And Putin wouldn't capitalize on Trump's many dealings in Russia? Do you believe that?

I see it was only against Hillary, I get it that’s ok then

Personally I prefer to do the fucking, I don’t enjoy getting fucked. Enjoy your fucking Doc

Edit: Your premise ignores the fact that Jeb! & Little Marco we’re targeted too. I guess that’s ok because most of the effort was against Hillary

I think they were as surprised as everyone was when Trump got elected.

"Giddy" is the word you want. Like winning the powerball. The directors of the FSB troll factory were probably roaring drunk by noon on Nov 9, 2016.

For the MAGA, obviously.

Of course, the only thing that'll MAGA is becoming owned by Russia or run by Russia.

No more 'Merica, it's Russiaca!

You really think that Putin moves out of spite here? Putin moved on Trump cause he would be the better alternative for Russia and Putins vision for geopolitical power. Less USA means more Putin. Hillary would have meant more USA and less Putin. Simple as that.

It’s all kind of beside the point. Regardless of why he wanted Trump to win, Putin’s goal was clearly to help Trump win.

Now the question is

1) why Trump and his associates have lied so much about their relationships with the Russians
2) why Trump has repeatedly attempted to stop the investigation.

Like I said before if he’s not guilty he’s screwing himself because he’s acting really guilty.

When you take an amateur hour politician who built his entire political movement around ignoring the usual 3rd rails of politics, who had no clue how to lead or govern, and has a massive ego on top of it, it comes as no surprise that he would deny relationships with the Russians because admitting to it immediately calls into question the legitimacy of his yuge win...and given what we know now, exposes him all the more as a useful idiot.

2) why Trump has repeatedly attempted to stop the investigation.
But he hasn’t stopped it. I think he truly believes he is a victim in all of this. I think the better question is, why hasn’t he stopped it?

Like I said before if he’s not guilty he’s screwing himself because he’s acting really guilty.
He’s acting like Trump, which is to never admit error and arrogantly press forward. It seems to work for him.

That was *after* the election. At that point point playing both sides made sense to them. Before the election it was all Evil cheating Hillary! Trump is a Savior!

They'll get right behind any wedge issue in America. Did I mention that the GOP just loves wedge issues?
Were you there?

Putin's boys had the luxury of being completely objective. They said "What's the worst possible choice the Americans could make?" Trump was obviously the answer & they worked hard to make it so.

That doesn’t explain the lies of Trump Jr., Gates, Manafort, Kushner, Sessions, Flynn, etc.

It’s not just Trump, it’s everyone around him and all about the same topic.

But he hasn’t stopped it. I think he truly believes he is a victim in all of this. I think the better question is, why hasn’t he stopped it?

He’s tried several times and that’s pretty damning. Most likely he hasn’t stopped it because he believes his aides when they say it would likely lead to his impeachment.

He’s acting like Trump, which is to never admit error and arrogantly press forward. It seems to work for him.

He’s acting like someone who is desperately trying to hide something.

I have seen that floated a few times, but only from Putin's point of view and never saw any evidence from Putin other than his word.

Have you ever seen anything other than that?

I've seen that before, as well. True as it might be, I really think it's more about Ukraine & sanctions. The sanctions hurt them more than 2011 protests ever did. It's also about Syria & Russia's longstanding relationship with that govt.

It's all aimed at getting America to turn inward to deal with our own perceived problems leaving them more room to dance in the ROTW. They just have to aggravate the problems we already have, help deepen the divisions fostered by decades of divisive right wing agitprop.

All of the names you mentioned are either inner circle to Trump or people with preexisting entangling or conflict of interest relationships with the Russian oligarchy and who should have come clean but for obvious reasons did not. Sessions is the only exception, but I am going to assume Sessions intended to ride the Trump rocket to glory before realizing the mess he stepped into.

Republicans won’t impeach him, and I am not sure the Democrats will either out of fear that it would motivate his base and/or open the field for 2020.

He’s acting like someone who is desperately trying to hide something.
He’s acting like someone way out of his league and doubling down on stupid. I honestly don’t know where Trump ends and the Alec Baldwin impression begins.

What are you talking about? Obama was perfect for Putin and his geopolitical powerplay and everyone pretty much agreed that Hillary was going to keep carrying that water. The Russians had her setup to be a nice puppet with all the Russian skeletons in her closet but she was able to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

Looks like he dug up Liberals partying at Russian sponsored anti-Trump rallies.

Looks like he dug up 63M American chumps who voted just the way Putin wanted them to vote.

And the Russians are laughing their asses off at just how gullible Americans really are. They're betting on a lot of us falling for their next sucker play, too.

Right, so why are they all lying about them?

Republicans won’t impeach him, and I am not sure the Democrats will either out of fear that it would motivate his base and/or open the field for 2020.

You’re definitely right that republicans won’t impeach him. Even if Democrats retake the house it’s hard to imagine finding ~16 Republican senators to vote for conviction. Then again, this investigation is starting to look really bad for him, so I guess you never know.

He’s acting like someone way out of his league and doubling down on stupid. I honestly don’t know where Trump ends and the Alec Baldwin impression begins.

I think Trump is incompetent but not stupid. The most likely reason he’s acting so guilty is the obvious one: because he is.

Didn't Obama tell us that couldn't and didn't happen?

Obama wooped Putin ass throughout his presidency, latest

https://www.cnn.com/2016/12/29/politics/russia-sanctions-announced-by-white-house/index.html

"Significant Malicious Cyber-Enabled Activities" and sanctioned four Russian individuals and five Russian entities for what it said was election interference. The administration also ordered 35 Russian diplomats to leave the country and two Russian compounds are being closed."

- When Trump whines "Why didnt Obama do anything?" is is ONLY catering to the part of the population THAT DOESNT KNOW, do not have the facts, do not follow current events cause it is blatant LIES!

But what you really want to put down is this :

https://www.washingtonpost.com/news...gnitsky-act-explained/?utm_term=.9f3e126c2877

"The Magnitsky Act was signed by President Barack Obama in December 2012 as a retaliation against the human rights abuses suffered by Magnitsky."

"The Magnitsky Act was signed by President Barack Obama in December 2012 as a retaliation against the human rights abuses suffered by Magnitsky."

And THAT is what Obama did and THAT SPECIFC act is what ALL the trumptower russian collusion abortion talk, is all about, for the Russians to get rid of the Magnitsky sanctions... and like the ONE Putin-bank not under sanction, Alfa Bank, is used to fund the whole operation.

Obama? Obama is what Putin nightmares are made of, cause his economy is wobbling and that leads to revolt.
Putin needs to get rid of the Obama Act, sorry, Magnitsky Act or die trying.

All this is of course on public record and you allready know all this, that is why you would be my top pick candidate if the forum decided to dig into, you know, who is getting paid?

*) "adoptions" is code for "sanctions" whenever you hear a russian official talk about adoptions replace with sanctions.
