Muvo2 for $184.95 Shipped

I just cancelled my Muvo2 OD order and placed a new order at Amazon. The Muvos at OD are not returnable, and I don't want to be stuck with a MD that won't work in my camera. At least I can return the Muvo to Amazon if this rumor turns out to be true.

Yup. That's the rumor. I can imagine a lot of muvo2 popping onto ebay WITH the drive inside, if it changes. There'll probably be some bad sellers who will still sell the drive and player separately..

Thats been the rumor for MONTHS. And it still hasn't happened. Some of these rumors are started by ppl who ebay the drives so they can get others to stop buying them. Like the guy who faked pics that supposedly showed it wasn't able to be removed. He was an ebay seller. And the pics were found to be 100% fakes.

1 guy on dpreview.com forums reported that he couldn't get his muvo2 drive to work. He got it recently, last couple of days. I'm going to keep up with his posts. I hope my muvo2, which hasn't arrived yet, will work.... :-\

I think they say the drive is IDE because it will not work in CF mode..

I just tried to cancel my order from officedepot. They're having it shipped directly from creative labs, and mostly will send out the new 'fixed' model. Someone is supposed to call me back and confirm that it is cancelled.

There is no point in getting a new Muvo directly from Creative labs at this late of a point in time, unless someone with the new packaging can verify that the microdrive from it DOES work as a CF card.

update: I got call-back and confirmed cancellation. Saved myself $200 and any hassles. Also doubt I'd need 4GB anytime soon.

It seems like they didn't ship it out on the 6/2/04 since they let me cancel on that day.

It doesn't seem like any of the people, who ordered after reading this thread, is following it anymore.. No responses..

I'e been hearing the same thing about the newer Muvo Drives.
