Stay away from the GeForce2 MX!!! How many times do I have to say it!?! 3D gaming is important to you, isn't it? So, why would you skimp on something that important? Spend a few more bucks and get a 64MB RADEON or a 32MB GeForce2 GTS!

C'mon, LH. The Geforce 2 MX isn't that bad as long as it is one of the original cards or one of the new 400 models. Stay away from the 200, though, as it only has a 64 bit memory bus and slow SD ram. They may be cheap but they are no bargain. That said, the Geforce 2 GTS is a much better card and is capable of smoother play at higher resolutions. But if your goal is bang for the buck, good stable driver support and decent speed at up to 800x600 resolution, the Geforce 2 MX and MX 400 are certainly viable options.

Then to live a lifetime on your knees"

There's absolutely no reason to get a GF2 MX when a Radeon LE is pretty much the same price and outperforms it. Trust me, MXs are pretty much obsolete when it comes to modern 3D games.

It's from an Australian rock band called "Midnight Oil".

BFG is right on the dot on this one. There's absolutely no reason to get a MX card with Radeon LE cards going for $71 and are easily hacked to perform for the regular Radeon DDR (which is double the price). If you have a few extra dollars to spend, then by all means consider the Kyro II cards. If you have even more money to spend around the 140ish range, then consider the Geforce GTS Pro cards. The GeforceMX 200 cards are just junk and the 400's are way overpriced compared to the other options.

64mb MX card = 32MB wasted and useless. Get a 32MB SDR/MX (400 or regular old) or a Radeon LE. Whichever you prefer.
