Nice. How many miles? Join m3forum.net I hope you did a prepurchase inspection. E46 M3's are known for VANOS, and subframe cracks.

25k miles...the car was inspected and is being sold by a company that carries a very good reputation in the BMW world.

I do plan on investing in the front and rear body reinforcements esp prior to outfiting the car with any suspension mods.

I have joined most of the M3 forums, so far e46fanatics seems to be the most helpful as far as answers.

Picked up the "pet kit" for the backseat. Pretty comprehensive pet cover. In my other thread I list some of the goodies I have already bought

This car will get you way more ass when the wife's in Japan than your old 240 ever did. You are now the baller.

Err, let me know when I can bring my car over for a detailing job.

Did you just buy them in bulk or something?

As far as all the haters saying cars like this have to be auction cars...

First owner had the car since 7 miles, took it to BMW every 2000 to 3000 miles until 6/2010, putting on almost 19,000 miles. Next owner was a 63 year old male, lives in a 13,000 sq ft home. Owned it for a year and 4 months, serviced it in the middle once of it's 5000 miles in his possession.

Car is immaculate.

Control+F for "auction" shows your post as the only result in this thread. Insecure much?

Basically, LOL Alky - time to grow up after all these years of doing this. You want to be a baby and 'publicly' call me out, so here we go. I've asked you to keep it to PM but I have some extra time tonight so I'll enjoy taking your little bait.

An s54 lease going to the dealer every 2k-3k miles is not a good thing, my friend.

My car (purchased from the original owner) with the same engine and electronics as your m3 only went to the dealer for the recommended services because there wasn't even a single issue with the car. On top of that, the original owner had the trans and diff fluid at 5k, and did an oil change at 7500 miles (I bought it with 8k). He provided receipts for all of this. I met him, got a good feel for the car and how it was treated along with a detailed inspection, paid for it and drove the car home.

Again, on a minivan, regular 4 door sedan, or truck this is definitely not worth the extra 5-10% cost nor the time... You can get a good idea of its condition based on pictures or relying on a decent dealer. On an expensive sports car, motorcycle, etc with a picky engine that deals with valve adjustments and is extremely sensitive to not being run hard when cold it's just about required.

Go back and reread my posts - I was really and truly only trying to help you with my advice. I wasn't being shitty or trolling or any of it. I know a lot about the engine and setup of your car, and dealing with sports car type crap. All of my advice was with good intent and most if it is pretty well known anyway.

But, this is the norm for you.. Your immediate reaction to advice has always been to turn around and be a complete douchebag to anyone who recommends something other than what you've solidified as correct in your little caveman brain.

No doubt you have some attention to detail and are intelligent and all that, but you could really stand to take a step back and be more self aware - even if just on these forums. At some point you must wonder if maybe, just maybe, allllll of these people who know how you really are might just have some advice that you can learn from? Not just in the garage where you've been trolling for awhile now, but also what's been told to you on a personal level in OT.

In a way I kind of like you, I don't think you're a bad person (actually you seem to be a really good person overall, or at least try to come across that way) and it's great that you stand up for what you think is right.. But the way you approach some things is so screwed up and blind it's kind of sad. Mainly because eventually you'll wake up, unfortunately probably as an old man.

There's no way it's limited to the forums either, it must transfer to your real life.. It probably takes people awhile, but eventually they figure you out.

Again Alky, even here I'm only wanting to wake you up a bit and only mean the best but keep in mind the shit you throw tends to bounce off a wall and hit you in the face

So there you go, I'm done with the topic for the second (and hopefully final) time.

Dude, you are a freaking idiot to think I was 'calling you out'. The car wasn't leased.

Stop acting like a child? You saying I am being a baby and it's time for me to grow up is MAJORLY ironic. I did my due diligence. Then you go along playing good cop/bad cop in your posts as if that justifies you throwing mud. Quit trying to be my best friend in Garage and post up something ABOUT your car and stuff you do WITH your car.

I swear you must just want to see your text fill up an entire screen the way you go off on tangents. You are hardly any kind of expert on buying cars nor being able to tell what is right or wrong about them. You are just a grown kid sitting in some $200 office depot black friday chair with probably a lighted keyboard.

You assume far too much and live in entire paranoia of the world.

Most aren't carrying a lease more than two years as well. Either way it's easy to verify if a car has been leased, it's not like it's some secret gfile area on a BBS.

What's your VIN, I will pull a car fax? I am sure you just bought the lowest cost m coupe you could have found.

I myself went out of my way to get a particularly solid M3, but I think to some extent concerns about the history of these cars is overblown. Yes, it's a highly stressed, complex, high performance engine, but ultimately the S54 is (other than the rod bearing recall, which has been done on most or all affected M3s on the used market) a reliable powerplant. A buyer should be more finicky than if he were buying, say, a 2004 Civic, but these cars are still reasonably reliable and I wouldn't be all that worried about buying even a leased car. I think that is less of a concern, actually, on a high-performance car, since most guys are going to drive them fairly hard whether they're leased or owned.

Either way, I'm done with it. From past experience we all know Alky is not going to see the light on this.
I can't for the life of me figure out why anyone talks with him anymore. He's a troll, a welcher, and he randomly makes things up just to satisfy his own insecurities. It's baffling.

I'm gonna pull a page out of Alkemyst's playbook here, and leave you with this:

"So you think you're a baller now that you bought a two owners used BMW on finance and your payment is $25 a month more than the other guy and you think you're the shit? Go on with your bad self playa, y0!"

Before you even begin, I bought my car just yesterday, 10 owners, and it was salvaged, and I paid $3.50 for it, and I had to finance it.

p.s. My last post in any alkemyst thread, ever.
