So far, this is what ive decided for my computer that i'll be building in june/july.

Retail Athlon 64 3000+ - $146
DFI nforce4 motherboard Lanparty Ultra-D
Radeon X800XL
Seagate SATA 80 GB 8mb 7,200 rpm
OCZ Modstream 450Watts -$89
Corsair 2x512 pc-3200 DDR Cas 2.5 Value Ram - $110
Stock Cooling

I can spend up to $80 more on my rig. What should i upgrade? Im thinking Ram or CPU to 3200+. Maybe get better than stock cooling?
Will the Revision E of the 3000+ cost a lot more than it does right now or will it be roughly the same?
I think my ram is probably the worst part of my system right now but i cant find ram thats MUCH better for under $190... anybody have any ideas? If i go with cooling ill probably get a Zalman 7700B-AlCu and AS5. Or would an XP-120 be better?

Im planning on overclocking it as high as it can go without changing voltage too much.

see if you can get some better quality ram, you will have to set it to 5:4 to get more of an overclock. im not ocmpletely sure about this, but i think a64's are pretty picky then it comes to ram.

dividers are perfectly fine to use on the A64, just check out this thread if you want some proof.

Spend the money on cooling, although you really don't need it over the stock retail, it should keep your temps lower and give you a little more room to OC.

I agree dividers are fine but get some pc3200 that is at least capable of cas 2 at pc3200...It makes a difference with these A64 systems.....

in a few months I would probably just step up and buy the 3200+ straight up...Oc it 2.4ghz or 240HTT use a 166 divder to keep ram at 400ddr and get that ram to run cas 2,3,3,8 at least.....Be a very nice system for the buck...

Planning a build 3-4 months in advance is kinda useless... prices will be different and new parts will be available.

Exactly what i was gonna say.

Don't get it planned out too much, since i'm sure there will be better options for your money by then.
