Thinking about throwing this on a spare HDD, and running on a Abit P35e if possible. Any chance of that working?

What make/model NIC and Wifi do you have? A quick search landed me on this Wifi adapter fix for your Aspire:

Does anyone have an idea as to why the Kalyway release doesn't work on my PC? I have a P4 SSE2 Processor with an Asus P4P800 Deluxe, and I had a previous version of OSX working (I think it was 10.4.8). What happens to me is that it shows the "Loading Darwin OSX86" screen and it gets to a certain point and my computer reboots. I can repeat this over and over to no avail. Some people over at InsanelyMac said it's a problem with the EFI boot with SSE2 processors. Anyone have any ideas?

Yeah they are moving to SSE3 support thanks to Leopard. I don't think SSE2 supports some things they want to use, or something.
In other news -
Geforce 8800GT/GTS (92) and 8600 cards now work (also 8400M-GS mobile cards in laptops)
ATI Radeon HD 3870/3850 cards now work
Some 8800s can be flashed, such as the GTS -> Quadro 4500 (depending on the model, this is difficult) and the GTX -> Quadro 5600

Hmm, I wonder if my Quadro NVS 140M in this T61 will be supported since it is basically a 8400 GS/GT. Probably not

7. Then after you make sure what partition your install is going to be in, type:diskutil list
8. Now you have to do the same thing again as step 7 except using the v7_guid_only switch. For example:umount /Volume/Bob
cd /Volume/Steve/*EFI files*/
./startupfiletool /dev/rdiskXsY ./boot_v8 *Where X is the physical drive and Y is the partition.*
dd if=./guid/boot1h of=/dev/rdiskXsY bs=512 count=1
dd if=./guid/boot0 of=/dev/diskX bs=400 count=1
../startupfiletool /dev/rdiskXsY ./boot_v7_guid_only
11. Once the system reboots, boot from the DVD again and now you can install. With my install, I choose the vanilla kernel and the ACPI fix for it. Also chose the efi_guid bootloader as well.fdisk -e /dev/rdiskX
update
f Y

reboot
