but being an Athiest it seems like you are taking advantage of a bad situation for me to preach and witness yo0ur Religious beliefs.

MOST Christians would not be doing it just to run their mouths, but as I'm sure you know, some people just like hearing themselves talk. Chances are the people you have encountered witnessing are just trying to help you get through whatever it is you are going through. So I don't start a flamewar, I am not saying you need help in any spiritual/religious way.

Hopefully they wouldn't start a thread about you not wanting to hear their BS too.

And why should they? If I'm feeling down because I lost a family member the last thing I want to hear is some Theist telling me that "God works in Strange ways" Now if I were a Theist maybe that would be acceptable but being an Athiest it seems like you are taking advantage of a bad situation for me to preach and witness yo0ur Religious beliefs. To me that is about as rude as you can get.

Well I will listen to them and see what they have to say and sure, it makes sense, because it's all logical with our senses. I listen to my friends who practice Muslim, Jahova Witness (sp), Islam, Christanity, and Atheism. All of them make sense to me and I can see why they practice what they do. You can belive what you want to belive, it's your choice- but I don't belive you should bash other's religions. I just find that Athiests like to put down other religions and yank your chain to try and prove to you that beliving in God is rediculous.

If we didn't believe that religion was ridiculous we wouldn't be Athiest now would we

I like Atheists, they don't ruin otherwise good parties by trying to fill my ears with BS about religion
Oh jeeze, try going to a get together over my sisters house. She and her Husband are Fund a Mental Book Burning Christians (Most Christians aren't in this category) and all they and their friends talki about is Jeebus and that crap. A guaranteed ZZZZ of a party. I'm always the last to arrive and the first to leave..if I go at all.

This may be what you observe, but it doesn't mean it's always like this. There are many atheists that are just the opposite. Likewise, there are religious folk on both sides of the fence.

We judge how our lives go, God only gives us the option of good and bad, and urges us to do good but others choose not to. actually to put it this way... the same right he has to choose whether or not to believe in God goes into whether or not to drink and drive. Im probably too late in this statement and I didn't put it as well as I wanted.

Nicely put. I'm dealing with a few atheists myself and it really pisses me off but you clearly stated the problem. "You can't give a person faith." I think people also have to realize that they're not Jesus Christ so it's not up to them to convert people from atheist bastards to God-fearing, good people. I say let the guy believe what he wants. He clearly doesn't understand God or his word. 2 Peter 2:12-22 sounds like your friend it seems and the one(s) I'm getting upset over. Let the guy be faithless.

Interesting I find it ironic that you're professing to question the validity of something that's beyond your own personal experience

Say what you want man, believe what you want. I'm not stopping you and I can't help my opinions but I know 90% of atheists I talk to haven't read the bible nor have they really given God's teachings any thought. They only believe in what is seen but how do you explain what is seen? Do you really believe in the big bang? How do you explain substance, emotion, our dominance over all creatures of the Earth? That we are so much more advanced than mostly all of the other creatures on Earth? Evolution may be true but how did we get here in the first place? Why is Earth the only planet in the solar system that contains water an atmosphere that permits breathing and so on? It makes me sad that our society is in the shape it is now. That with all of our technology and brains we still can't get along. 2 Timothy 3:1-7 describes our society today perfectly. Bash me and fellow Christians all you want because I was taught not to hold grudges and that you don't need to hate your enemy to destroy him.

Actually I am amazed to learn that apparently quite a few % of Americans are not the Religious Zealots (forgive the word dunno a better one to describe this way of faith) that I was used to, when I was in HighSchool in KY 10 years ago. Actually there I was seen as the unfortunate idiot that needs to be "safed". Quote from one of the best students in this school: " Are u really this ignorant to think that I (we) am a descendant of monkeys?"

I mean I have no problem with religion at all. Everyone shall have their own belief but I was totally surprised to learn that there are ppl that belief that the earth was created by God the way it says in Genesis and is 6000 years old. People that didnt think the bible is a (the) history book where by far the minority. But it was really funny to see how flexible the bible became to my questions in sunday school (Ala: how did the human poulation form from one guy and one girl without incest)
Man I even got a book as present that was to prove how evolution is BS and creation 6000 years ago the truth - good stuff

Nowadays I know that some people still have very middle aged views about the bible. And dont try to tell the about scientific facts that earth is just a little older than they think. I just shut up and laugh inside...
But really, this kind of religious belief I have never witnessed anywhere else - is that a Kentucky (southern) thing or is (was) this the norm?

Psalm 53:1
The fool says in his heart,
"There is no God."
They are corrupt, and their ways are vile;
there is no one who does good.

Psalm 10:4
In his pride the wicked does not seek him;
in all his thoughts there is no room for God.

It seems everytime I post back there are more and more atheists. I'm truly saddened by it.

And so I conclude.

"And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words, when ye depart out of that house or city, shake off the dust of your feet." -Matthew 10:14

How comical. Grow up and realize that just because you believe something that doesn't make it absolute fact. People like you are what make atheists/agnostics disgruntled with religious folk in general.

Have all anti-satanists read the Satanic Bible? No? That's what I thought... How can you choose Christianity instead of Islam if you haven't read the Qu'ran?

Do you really believe in the big bang?

Big Bang explains our universe the best, so yes, I do beleive in Big Bang

How do you explain substance, emotion, our dominance over all creatures of the Earth?

Our dominance over other creatures on this planet? Humans are the most ruthless and intelligent creatures on this planet, so it's only natural that we dominate other species.

That we are so much more advanced than mostly all of the other creatures on Earth?

We just happened to be the first. In million years dolphins and apes could reach sentience as well. Just because we were first, doesn't mean that there is a god.

Why is Earth the only planet in the solar system that contains water an atmosphere that permits breathing and so on?

Because Earth is the only planet in the biosphere? Biosphere = area around sun where life is possible. And besides, water has been found on other planets in our solar-system as well.

Best student you say? And he still doesn't understand basic principles behind evolution? No-one, not even Darwin, has ever claimed that humans are descentant from monkeys. What they do say is that monkeys/apes and humans have a common ancestor.

Have you read the Koran, Communist manifesto or The Book of Buhdda ?

Do you really believe in the big bang?
It's a Plausible theory, much more than Creationism

That we are so much more advanced than mostly all of the other creatures on Earth?
And what would God have to do with this? Hell Earth is but a small spec in the Universe and it's rather arrogant of man to think we are the center of the universe and the most advanced being of the Universe.
It makes me sad that our society is in the shape it is now.
Yeah Mankind was so much better off in the Middle Ages when Christians use to torture those who didn't believe in Christianity
That with all of our technology and brains we still can't get along.
Yeah like Religion is a cure for that.

I take exception to you calling me and other Athiest "Bastards" and refering to God Fearing People as good suggesting that those who don't believe as you do as not being good. If Heavan was filled with Wankers like you it would be hell for me and most intelligent individuals...whether they be religious or not.

idNut:
Does quoting prejeduce verses from the bible make u feel superior?

Or do u want to say:
Right now I am a wicked, corrupt and vile person because I dont believe in God. And I am that person already for 28 years. And now hypothetically I would somehow realize God exsists and I believe and then swooshdoongdididoing I become a good person. Sorry but no that is not how human personality works.

there's a lot of other things than just "beliving" in God, but that's the start.

UberDave, the thought of you preaching on about Christianity is mind blowing. Just a couple of months ago you were posting pictures of some floozy you nailed one weekend. I think God's Rep should be a little more credible than you.
