So, you guys may remember that my garage door got smashed halloween night.
Old thread
What we did was we replaced that garage door, which ended up costing about $600.
So, after that, we moved out of that house into our new house about 30minutes away. We are in the middle of cleaning up the house to be sold. We just had the exterior of the house painted yesterday.
Today, we get a call from the painters, who were back to touch everything up that our house was vandalized. So we take off and head over there. We get there, and its terrible. Here's a link to a picture gallery of the spraypaint.

We called the city cops and they come out. With just one look, the cop classifed this as a hate crime and called their forensics team out. After them doing some work, they said they don't think it was any gangs or the like just that someone must have some sort of problem. Apparently, last week, a house a few streets away got vandalized too, but just a smashed garage door and some windows, nothing to this extent.
So we spent all morning cleaning this stuff up. Spray paint sucks to remove from concrete, but it took like $30 and some vicious scrubbing. The garage door, we left as is and will repaint it, but we want the neighborhood to see. The side of the house will be repainted today by the painters.
We're thinking that we'll leave the garage door as is, just paint over it, and replace it when the house actually gets sold.
Who ever does this stuff, this day and age? We have no associations with any of the things that got spray painted on, we're actually just a normal asian family.
