indamix i have a friend who is a budding dj and i have one of his live mixes, its kinda the same style as this, though his track selections are alot more housey, where as this has a lot of commercial influence from popular rock/pop/hiphop his tends not to.

Yeah it depends on the genre of music as far as mix length goes. When I used to spin hip hop, tracks would change every 2-3 mins, but when I spin trance it's more like 4-6 mins. The tracks are much longer anyways and the structure of the track generally doesn't allow me to make a mix earlier - especially when there's a long breakdown in the middle. I remember in the old deep/hard house days I would try to spin tracks as fast as I could, but it all depends on the music.

I didn't think Carl Cox did fast mixes. I've heard a few of his sets and tracks generally play out till the outro, when he starts mixing in a new track. I even saw him spin live a few months ago and it was pretty much the same thing... except he talks over every damn track.

I have plenty.. about 5 terabytes/month. It's hosted through dreamhost. I'm not worried about running out.
