That's what I've been doing for 2 weeks now. Wake up at 6, have 50 minutes to enjoy a cup o' black tea, then walk to bus station (it arrives at 7:00).
Tough part is getting to sleep early enough (9:00-9:30 at latest).

I wish I could do this but I can't. In fact every day this week I haven't left work before 9pm (I work 9-5) and I have an hour commute home. I get up around 7 to leave around 7:30. I hate being rushed in the morning but I can't do much about it unless I sleep for 5 hours which is generally what happens because I get to sleep like 2am.

Better weather is coming and I plan on working out more and play tennis. I will have to force my work schedule to change and decrease. I just have to be more efficient at work and only take on stuff I can accomplish in a reasonable time frame and learn to say no.

There ya go man.. I've learned alot about myself in this experience. It's day 10 and I haven't smoked. There's an easy trick to quitting, not wanting to smoke anymore. lol. I have drank alcohol 1 night. I had a few beers with a buddy and ended that dream. Drinking isn't bad I just thought I'd smoke if I drank. It's really not that bad though cuz they banned smoking in bars and I drink alot at bars. I almost never drank and smoked at the same time.

Gym is going okay. My cousin is a physical trainer and he's showing me how to do squats and writing up a work out plan for me based on my given goals. I've been eating healthy, not smoking, not getting drunk every night I can... I haven't really felt the money aspect yet because I've been giving myself little rewards for not smoking. I'm sure it will feel good at some point though.

Find Men's Health "Testosterone Advantage". Don't give up the meat, there's nothing wrong with it.

Giving up the cigarettes is likely to be harder than any of your other goals. Combined.

I had a pack a day habit and quit by gradually reducing the number every month by two or three. Within six months, I was nicotine-free and never got the craving again. That was twenty years ago. Good luck.

Okay... so I started smoking again and I'm back to my stupid shitty life.

JK.... I think it's been like 18 days no smoking the urges are frequent but not TERRIBLE. My cousin is a physical trainer for the first time in like 4 years i got a REAL workout. Now everything hurts really bad. We have a few more sessions to go before I know the routines well enough to do them myself.

I still miss smoking but I know if I have one it's all over. It's all about not having that first one man.

Sweet deal, man, that's great. Smoking is gonna be a hard habit to kick, but you're 18 days into it. Amount 3/4th's of a month. Get through it and continue forward. Great job.

you need to be moderate with your eating. just eat a balanced diet that you can stick too. a few pieces of bad food choices will not kill your weight loss. the overall goal is to have a consistent diet. eat better food options. drink more water.

Let me break it down:
So say your 4 months at $145 = $435 a year
You can buy a Power rack for $300 off ebay (highly recommended as long as it is rated for a good amount of weight) http://cgi.ebay.com/PowerLine-...VWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
300lb of Used weight which includes Olympic Bar from Play it again Sports for $119.00 (Dick's/Sport's and PIAS have a deal every month or so for this price)
And a Cheapo FID or Flat bench from the store for around $50-100 depending on if its Flat or FID(Flat/Incline/Decline Adjustable) respectively.
You're looking at a $100 more at most for a year, but does your membership have a resale value? Do you have to wait for people to get off your equipment? Ever get shy because you are grabbing the 20lbs. while everyone is curling 60's?

This is assuming you have the space, but usually you can make compromises, like not buying the Power rack and buying a squat rack instead ( I got a used one for $40).
With these free weights you can get creative and target muscle groups that you didn't know you could by buying a stability ball and olympic dumbell bars ($40 for both).

The bottom line, if you are trying to be money conscious and loose weight, this will give you no excuse; and if you decide to be fat like me, then stuff you bought is made of steel and has a street value just like copper and gold do.

Yeah but for a lot of people the gym is a huge source of motivation to workout, vs. sitting alone at home using machines. I have a couple machines which I'm just now putting to use (after owning them for several years), and even then it's only about 10 minutes a day right now. It's cheaper to pay for a gym membership than it is to pay for the problems related to being overweight (doctors, food costs, larger clothes, etc.)

True, gym is motivation. Maybe a year from now I will ditch the small gym across the street and start going to 24 Hour Fitness, which is a babe magnet and a pretty big place.

Okay, so it's been a little over a month... I haven't smoked. I bought a new car. I'm moving into a new place with a new roommate for cheaper rent. I have been going to the gym at least 3 days a week and packing lunch at least 3 days a week. I havent really lost any weight but my body fat % went down a little. I'd say a good number of these goals have been met. Not smoking is pretty easy now, btw.

Also I switched gyms... my new gym is 50/mo and has several branches one near my work and one near my house which is awesome. Also there's a lot more eye candy now.

My new goal is to complete a sprint triathalon sometime this summer. 3mi run, .5 mile swim, 11 mile bike.

Yeah nice job man! Don't worry about the weight, it will come off eventually...I've been on mine for nearly a month too and I don't look a whole lot different, but I definitely feel a whole lot different. Congrats on sticking with the new changes!

Congrats on the changes dude! You've broken some really tough habits, developed some good ones, and appear to be restructuring your life. Keep it up!
