Are there any electrical motors nearby or that are on the same circuit? Fan, refrigerator, etc?

Heh... my mom's office has some of those big power lines near the right side of her office building. All the puters on the right side of the office have monitor problems.

Try moving the system to a different part of the room.

Oh could it be because the monitors been on for too long or just on at night. Like, now it's not shaking and it's 6:42 am EST

I have the same problem...with me, it's the huge power lines outside my window.

Do this test: Set your refresh rate to 60Hz...see if the problem persists. If it stops, there's likely some sort of electrical interferance (since power runs at 60Hz...this solves it for me). Also, try (if you have the money) getting a UPS with automatic voltage regulation. Sometimes monitors will jiggle if you have unclean power going to the system.

If 60Hz doesn't help, and a UPS doesn't help, and you have no obvious electrical sources, it's likely that the tube is going in your monitor, or that you have some sort of magnetic interference (speakers, etc).

First off you need to hook the PC up to another monitor, that will tell you where the problem is (PC or monitor).

The PSU or flyback transformer in your monitor could be going out. Even if you have nothing in your room that is causing an electrical problem on the line it's possible that there is something on the same circuit that is causing the problem. Is the outlut properly grounded?

This monitor is new I got it last summer. Oh I change from 75hz to 85Hz and it's not as bad, the shaking that is. It's just a little.

oh its definitly a power problem! Check your ground! Make sure that there is a 3 prong on your surge protector and that the main box in your house has a good ground, it should be going to a 8 ft copper pole that is nailed in the ground outside the house! I bet its grounded to the pipes in your basement!

I have this problem with my monitor too, It is on the same curcuit as the refrigerator though, and when ever someone presses the button to get ice from it the monitor shakes like mad! I just try to ignore it... But when I have the refresh rate set to 60 Hz the problem does go away, I just cant stand the flickering on 60 Hz! I do have a UPS, but its too small to supply even power to both my PC and it... so I just have the pc on the back up side...

<< Time to invest in a good UPS. >>

I agree.... microcenter has the Belkin 625Va UPS that also does line conditioning (a nice feature) for about $100.
