the 04 is "titatnium" plastic

urgh, plastic? Man, that kind stings, or its like pretty dash with ugly rims or nice rims with plastic dash.. oh, well, i'll find out when i can afford one..

I'm kinda hoping that they'd have something rim wise in Nisamo(sp?) at the dealer i might be able to wiggle onto a 05 at the dealer.
or find a 04 in sping 05, which would be like hens teeth.

EDIT: or if they do something nice to the 05 Z, but the back seat and better protection plan is kinda a no brainer.

If you don't mind me asking, what type of deal did you pull off (down, pymts, apr, etc)?

I'm looking at one myself, but can't decide if to wait for the '05's.

no prob
well first they took my lease BMW 325Ci off my hand and paid the $23,104.79 that i owed
and my car had A LOT of rock chips so they will have to repaint the whole front.

$37,000 out the door
$5000 down
4% interest rate
$610/60 months including wheel and tire hazard warrenty for 4 years

i was gonna wait for the 05 model but like i said b4 the wheels are fugly, MSRP is gonna be $500-1000 more than the 04 models and it will be in demand so you prob wont be able to get a good deal for while.

omg you were pwned. :Q

=|

This coming from a guy who put money down on a lease for a Mazda 6? Hah!

pwnage :Q

well i like my 6 better than the infiniti!! i've never understood ATOT's hard-on for this car, the back is so hideous and the front is just, meh. but of course, the two cars aren't even in the same class, and i know that 80% of people really love this car, but i still don't get it . now, the nizzan Z..............::jizz:: yummy. that's a car that got everything right.

my bias probably comes from the fact that there are only two 2-door cars i'd ever consider buying, and for 40 grand the g35 wouldn't even cross my mind. but hey, different strokes for different strokes.

besides, i thought i made it very clear in my thread that the reason i put money down on a lease was because i intended to purchase the car at the end!! i just wanted low enough payments at first because i had just graduated college and not yet found a job.

great, don't waste any time ricing up your new investment.
thats not rice!!
rice is if i installed a huge ass rear wing and lowered it to the ground
and changed all the lights to clear signals

Rice is doing anything to a car with an auto

turn in your man card

A G35c is nice enough, expensive enough, powerful enough, and RWD enough to be exempt from EVER being called "rice".

Put a huge aluminum wing on it and IS rice out, i agree tha it ia a nic powerful car, all in all probably better than my old 911 but it would still be rice IMO, the reason is that that wing will do NADA.

Now if you are talking drea or race speeds, it is different and while his car is nice, he won't reach speeds where it matters, IOW, a sticker would be bor effecive as i does as much and weighs a lot less.

But that is MY definion of rice, many thanx to one person, you know wyo you are, who made me get an older 911 instead of he boxer, it already is ok, and as soon as i have the turbo repired i am song to ride this sucker unitill the tires screac for mercy. (still miss the haya though)

$610 a month for a car payment? Good lord...

What's your insurance run you on top of that?

I just can't see spending that kind of money on a car.

he probably lives in a small town. my grandfather is 65, has never been in an accident (either caused by him, or by someone accidently hitting his car), has only 3 speeding tickets his entire life (none in the passed two decades), has perfect eyesight, is in perfect health (he runs several miles each day), has taken every single driver safety course known to man, and has been driving since he was 14. what does he pay? $1900/yr for full coverage, $500 deductible on a 4 year old buick. why, you ask? oh, it's because we live in miami and it's full of assholes that can't drive. :|

wow. that's a pretty messed up rate tehre. if I have a 4 yrs old car and drive very safely, I would drop collision and just keep liability and maybe comprehensive (depending auto theft rate there)

well, then you're lying about your rate. my family members all have impeccable driving records, and none of them drive a car that's worth over $40k or have deductibles less than $500. let's see a copy of your policy as proof.

not if you live in miami it isn't. the policy for my m6 is under my grandfather's name (the one w/ no accidents and only 3 speeding tickets in over 40 years) and it's still a little over 2k a year. (full coverage, $500 deductible.)

where exactly do you live?

Stop talking about depreciation with cars.

IT'S NOT A CAR, IT'S A LIFESTYLE.

Geez... I don't see the big deal here. I live in the city with all the peckerhead paraders (aka asshole drivers), have 3 cars and 2 drivers on my policy, 2 of those cars are considered "high risk" by insurance companies, 100/300/100 full coverage with a $500 deductible (having a $250 deductible is a waste of money IMO), and pay $1800/yr total with Progressive.
Being in your 30s with a clean driving record helps a lot. It also helps (I am sure) not living anywhere near NJ, NYC, or LA.

Get the 20% straight black tint too. It looks best and you won't have to roll down your windows in order to see on dark nights.

edit: btw, cars are NOT investments. Depreciation is expected and moot. They are purchases. Geez, you never hear people talk about depreciation with computers, furniture, and appliances, do you? Minimizing a car's depreciation is just good financial sense, like clipping coupons or bargain shopping, but has nothing to with a car being an investment.

in that case, there is no way in hell you're paying $1900 a year in full coverage insurance, $250 deductible on a brand new $40k car in miami unless you're going w/ an independent small company, in which case you might as well not have insurance at all. btw, policies in florida are quoted in 6 month increments, so if you received a quote for $1900, it would actually be $3800/yr which is more reasonable, although ~3000 would be my guess (for a 30+ yr. old driver w/ a clean record).
