I personally think our G35s looked better.

As far as tires go my potenzas(19s) lasted for all of 16K miles. I picked up a set of Toyo TR-1s to replace them so we'll see how it goes. I think for all 4 it was right around $800 shipped.

G37 v G35

hmmmmm i think the front end looks a little better
its just tat the interior of the G37 is soooo much nicer than the G35

I agree the the interior is far superior on the G37, I wish the G35 was even half as nice.

Also I can't seem to load any of the pics.bbzzdd.com stuff or access their website even though i have an account =/

Why didn't they keep the old G35 name? Just because they changed the engine doesn't mean they have to call it something else. What's next, G40?

Because that was why they started the naming convention in the first place. They name it after the engine size. BMW comes to mind...

bmw's numbers only vaguely follow the engine size at best.

yea the new BMW 328i has actually a 3.0 liter I-6 in it

335i has a 3.0L, 750i has a 4.8L, etc... It used to be more accurate in previous generations... Anyway, BMW was not the best example, but its the reason Infiniti didn't keep the G35 name... Besides, newer is always better in the consumers point of view.

BMW is definitely moving away from the conventional starting in model year '09. It's all about marketing. You'll see the following soon as these are the new trademark filings:

xDrive20
xDrive23
xDrive25
xDrive30
xDrive35
xDrive40
xDrive48
xDrive50
xDrive55

sDrive18
sDrive20
sDrive23
sDrive30
sDrive35

They will be the actual badges on the side of the vehicles.

ie. Z4 sDrive35i or X5 xDrive30i

I will probably be buying a G35 Sedan "Sport" in the early spring. I would love to have the G37S, but the lack of useable trunk and rear seat make it a deal breaker for myself, I just can't quite sell the wife on it, so sedan for me. Very NICE cars...

yes its Automatic, i deal with too much traffic to deal with a manual everyday.

they are 19" wheels, the tires will prob be in the low $200s each

the new EX35 is really nice!!

Check those tires... if they didn't change the rim size they should be 300-400 each, at least for anything remotely good

i did the same size tires on tirerack.com were 223 for the front and 266 for the rear tires. Bridgestone Potenza RE050A

I'm going to get some nitrogen in them as soon as possible to see if these will last at least 20,000 miles

Heh, don't count on getting 20 out of those Potenzas. I hear they have horrible treadware. Congrats on the car though, I envy my RWD brethren. Besides, nitrogen in tires is a complete and total gimmick, you have to remember that air is about 70+% nitrogen anyways.

G35c 6MT ... or 335i ? Decisions decisions.

I think it was Edmunds that tortured the 335i and G37 coupe when it was announced around a track, and after an hour or two the 335i just gave up and shut off. I think the turbos got hot or something, the G37 just kept on going
