My processor is making noise

i have the AMD athlon X2 4200+ and for some reason it sounds like a P3 processor, you know like some one put rice in a baloon and was shaking it

Checked the fan? It might be failing or the heatsink may have become loose.

I don't think processors make noise.... It must be the hard drive, or maybe the fan as Sharad said.

I can hear electrons moving... I thought everyone could. Maybe your ears needs to be checked .

Seriously though, Only moving parts will make noise. If it sounds like it is coming from the CPU, my guess would be the heatsik fan. Is there something caught in it? Is there alot of dust buildup?
