my raptors wont shut up

i just built my rig today with two raptors in raid on an asus a7n8x. and for some reason they seem to be doing something all the time, even if im just listening to music or typing something on a forum. this doesnt seem to affect my performance but its just annoying to be hearing them making little clicks and clanks that doesnt seem necessary, maybe thier just louder than what im used to, i dunno.

Maybe they're bored or hungry

Do you have any programs running in the background? Do you have anti-virus auto scanning your hard drives at a certain time?

dude.... they are spinning @ 10,000 rpms. they aren't supposed to be quiet
