My system keeps hanging HELP!

Ok here's the deal-

A week ago my computer was working perfectly fine running WindowsXP Pro. I didnt like the OS so i formatted my computer and went to Win2k Server. Server wouldnt stay on for more than 2 min unless I was in safe mode, thought it was the OS so i formatted again and went to Win2k Pro (both of which had worked fine before XP was on there)

So now im in win2k pro and it is still crashing, I get no errors at all for anything, just whenever I am doing just about anything either the screen will go blank and i wont be able to do anything (nothing responds...keyboard...etc) or my system will just hang and the keyboard and mouse wont move. Only way to get out of these is to restart manually.

I get no errors when i do scandisks and I get no blue screens or normal windows crashing.


Any ideas????????

Overheat
defective mobo
defect Ram
Driver Incompatible(USB, AGP, IDE, and etc.)
Results of overclocking
PSU is not producing enough juice
AMD<----thats what everyone saids but mines works great
IRQ conflicts
There is more but I'm lazy to name them all.

Definately sounds like a hardware problem. Usually the os will not even install if there are hardware problems, but this could also mean heat issues as SCSIFreak mentioned.
