I recently replace the stock hsf w/ the Accelero for my X1900XTX and not sure if I'm happy with it.

Running the fan at 100% full-time, at idle I get the same temps as the stock hsf running at 55% but my motherboard temps have gone up 5c degrees and my cpu temps about 3c degrees.

At load, gpu temps jump up to 77c degrees on the Accelero compared to 68c degrees w/ the stock hsf running at 100%. Both motherboard and cpu temps raise by a few more degrees at load.

IMHO - the only advantage of the Accelero has been the much much lower noise. Trying to decide if it's worth it though...

You have to get the hot air that the Accelero pulls of the X1900 out of the case. This seems like the best solution. I have one on coming tomorrow to see how good it works

i looked at that, and i have to wonder how loud it is. i've had blowers that claimed to be 'quiet' before, but none of them were. i guess with the selectable switch maybe it's ok.

honestly, about the only thing i can hear in my computer right now is the stupid power coils on the motherboard.

I installed the Super Cyclone today and so far it is to soon to tell how much cooler inside my case is, but I cannot hear the fan when set to low, mildly hear it at medium but at high it is pretty loud.

I will keep it on low for now, the airflow out the PCI slot is pretty good, not nearly as good as on high but I want it quiet.

This may work out ok, the intake port of the Super Cyclone matches right up with the exhaust air from the Accelero X2. Certainly better than just letting the hot air circulate inside the case

Seems they are pretty close, could have left the NX-1 on after all

MX-1 vs AS5

i left mine on. the thin film they're able to achieve with their machinery probably beats whatever i can do with AS5 anyway.

on automatic it idles about 5 degrees cooler (57 v. 52). at 100% via atitool it idles 8 degrees cooler (49).

environ temps it's a degree higher (60 v. 61)

at 100% fan it got to 76.3 on 3dmark

i'll retest in a couple of days when, presumably, the thermal goop has cured a bit more.
thermal goop has setup by now, i'd think, so i've retested.

on 100% it go to 72.3 during 3dmark run. but, the environ temps were town to 55. so i think any temp difference is due to my air conditioning.

i think this thing may need that antec exhaust to cool more effectively. i imagine that the hot air blown out toward the motherboard gets recirculated back into the fan.
