so i just got my ASUS A8n-SLI Deluxe board....and i have just a few minor problems.....
first off...i have 4 hardware devices listed in the Unknown area that i have no idea where to find the correct drivers for them....which may correct my remianing problems
the 4 listed items are:

Multimedia Audio Controller
Other PCI Bridge Device
RAID Controller
Unknown Device

----
the other issue is.....of the 2 onboard gigabit LAN connections, only the 1 Marvell 88E81001 PCI gigabit loan controller one is working. the other nVidia nForce4 built in gigabit MAC w/ external Marvell PHY does not.......i dont even see it listed in my device manager, nor do i see listed in my network connections.......im thinking maybe the unknown device is representing it, but i cant find the drivers for it anyway.........

nothing is working basically

im running win xp x64 bit build 3790

any help would be fantastic.....

Any idea if these perform better than the Win XP 32 bit drivers on this motherboard / system? I just installed x64 (dual booting with xp pro 32) prerelease on my system before coming to work this morning but I haven't gotten or installed any of the 64 bit system drivers yet.

I've been running x64 for about a week. I'm goign to have to change back because of lack of software and driver support.

The antivirus software available for WinXP x64 is really low, only one I found works, Avast! Antivirus. No other antivirus will run correctly. I tried server versions and normal versions from Symantec, McAfee. No disk defragmenter either, besides the built in one. My logitech MX1000 mouse driver software won't load, but I guess I really don't need that...

When I looked in task manager, 80% of my services were running in 32 bit mode anyway. So why bother.

Also, the video drivers suck for X64. I have a EN6600 and get pretty bad results in DOOM3.

One annoying thing I found, none of the programs that normally alter the right click menu, like WinRAR or DVDecrytper, change the context menu. Thats really annoying.

I'm guessing that for games, 32 bit will be the way to go becuase of more frequent driver updates.

Nothing really seems any faster, it does seem more stable. My memory and disk scores are the same at the same overclocked speeds.

I'm waiting for a new BIOS b4 I switch back to XP 32, though.
