Maybe some limited places but not many...and not any around here. They are cutting non-patient care staff around here. Thats it.

True in SoCal

Cutting clinical staff is difficult, there aren't fewer patients because there's a recession (you could argue that there are more) so it's next to impossible to just start axing the clinicians. I've also seen non-patient care staff, but I don't really see nurses, etc. getting laid off.

Even when you buy medicine online, a pharmacist is involved somewhere. My aunt does this, and according to her, she basically is just a rubber stamper. Not a bad way to being making six figures a year.

..yet another reality challenged statement from the not so famous one. many of the transportation districts have 4 year contracts. if they do strike it's few and far between and short. And a sizeable chunk from your obama's stimuli is going to public transportation. By the way, your obama is a big union supporter.

They rather hier 2 RN's or PA's then 1MD. They do the same work as a MD, and technically are MD's inside the hospital.

Ironically I work for a bank and feel my job is overall recession proof. I deal with debit cards and to be honest the spending on debit cards has gone up as people use credit less.
