We've set a trend in the household to name our computers after Star Trek characters. Our old P3 is JLPicard, our Athlon XP is Spock, my new gaming beast is locutusofborg, our laptop is McCoy.
My main machine is DUENDE with a number afterwards to represent the version of it (every time I install Windows I increase the number).
Any secondary rig is called MPDYWDZN after the original name of my first ever computer.
Anything after that usually isn't mine, so I dunno the name.
If you mean naming them creative things instead of something practical to keep track of them on your network, that is one of the nerdiest things you can do.
