I was rideing my mountain bike to some large dirt mounds near my subdivision, and I noticed a Nazi flag in a window of a house.

I saw the guy gettin in his truck and asked him if he was a member of the Nazi party and he said yes.

This mother better stay the hell away from me and my family - I'll kill his ass. This really pisses me off, just when you think your in a nice area some stupid Jew hating Nazi moves in.

I'm watching this bastard like a hawk.

I wish we had laws like in Germany which prevented the flying of that symbol of hatred and ignorance. (Or do we?) I don't know what you can do except throw rocks at his house or toilet-paper his trees.

"I wish we had laws like in Germany which prevented the flying of that symbol of hatred and ignorance."

Boy, if this isn't the dumbest thing I've heard in a while. If you want laws controlling the way people are allowed to think, then move to Germany! Don't you realize that this is AMERICA, a land born on the idea that people are Allowed to think however they choose, Regardless?

Anyone stupid enough to belong to a neo-Nazi party is more of a threat to himself then others. It's the ones who don't expose their hatred in public that are the real threat.

And how do you think he feels about some stupid Nazi hating you living there? You don't seem to be all that tolerant yourself. He has just as much right to be there as you do.

Couple of things, first off I just want to say I DO NOT AGREE WITH ANY NAZI BELIEFS, but here in the United States, he has the freedom to believe what ever he wants, no matter how WRONG he is (what a shame that is). He actually has to threaten violence against someone before he has broken a law. Killing him for just being a Nazi is the same as him killing someone because of thier beliefs...

Yes, a part of being a free democratic tolerant nation, is to axcept that the intolerant still have rights too. As long as he's not going arround infringing on other peoples rights, if you believe in democracy you must accept that if he wants to hang that flag in house he should be allowed to. If you storm into that house & tear down that flag you're no better than him.

Mind you he could just be screwing with your mind. If I was a collector of WWII stuff, & some kid on a moutain bike saw through the window & saw a Nazi flag hanging in my house & asked me if I was a Nazi I would have said yes just to annoy you

Remember just because there's circumstancial evidence of something, that someone confesses to, it doesnt mean its true.

BA your damn right I am intollerant of him. I understand the laws of this nation, however the founding fathers never ment it t defend murderers.

The right to assemble was to keep the government from taking over, not so Nazi bastards can have their little meetings in my subdivision.

Who has he killed?

The right to assemble exists to keep the government from stifling unpopular groups, e.g. Nazis.

I consider anyone a member of the party as guilty os those in Germany in the 40's. The right to assemble is to keep the government from keeping people from grouping and planning (mainly into Militia Forces) so that they can rise up against the goverment if it becomes currupt.

And if I'm not mistaken, by your own thinking this is a free country - and I'll hate whoever I like. I am probobly the least racist/hateful person you could ever meet, however Nazis rank 1. on my Bastards list.

Defend them if you like, the constition WAS NOT MENT to ever defend this type of group - period.

Nazi Bastards.

My grandfather always used to say "Don't stir the sh|t or it will stink." Or maybe it was "Don't sh|t while stirring, cause it will stink." Something like that. Anyway, avoid fecal contact with household kitchen appliances is what I think I am trying to say. How this can be applied to the situation at hand, I have no idea.

Actually Trinitron, while I would never defend their actions, the Constitution was written to protect everyone, including them. If you tell them they cannot live the way they want, it will snowball into everybody losing their rights. For us to keep our freedoms, they must keep theirs too. But your right, you do have the right to hate them all you want to.

Thats a very liberal interpretation of the constitution, but I can respect your view of it, if missguided.

Funny, the American Government would not allow a communist flag in public..but they allow a Nazi flag in public.

If you can selectively grant or deny rights, those rights lose all meaning.

It's not the constitution, but remember, "ALL men are created equal..."

You are perfectly within your rights to hate Nazis, but in doing so, how are you any better than the object of your hatred?

Trinitron: i understand your hatred, but do not become one of "them", you have to be better than the people you dislike. if he/she has not done any harm towards you or your loved ones, then give him a chance. you mentioned that you blame all the neo-nazis for the crimes of the past, what about slavery in america? are you recently towards all white males too?

judge a human being on his/her actions, not by his/her past.

Sorry, Trinitron. but BA has it right in this situation. This is what makes our country special. The freedom of each individual to think for himself is much more important than a little discomfort on your part.

No thats just an opinion, I have one as well. This country was founded on freedom, but it was not founded on the precipant of protecting killers.

I have't killed anyone, I haven't raided any churches, I haven't held marches about white power, I haven't ganged up on blacks and jews and beat them to death. Me hating them - thats almost being nice. I am no where near their level.

Trinitron, you're missing the point.

Sharing a system of beliefs with someone who murders does not constitute endorsing their actions, or make you guilty of those actions. For example, I whole-heartedly support the pro-life movement. Does that mean I should go to jail for killing abortionists? No, because I had nothing to do with the murders.

The constitution was written to protect the rights of a citizen to believe whatever the hell he wants. It does not give that citizen the right to murder if his beliefs promote that.

As soon as we start putting limits on someone else's beliefs, you lose your own freedom to choose your beliefs. And that is what the constitution was trying to avoid.
