Any NBA fans on AT? I'm loving the NBA this year. Could be one of the best years ever. Are the Heat for real? Can an aging Kobe Bryant will his team to another championship? Can Boston make a final push for a second ring?

I'm also loving it because my team the Dallas Mavericks appear to be the best team in the league at this point. Call me a homer or whatever but throw all the preconceived notions you have out the window and just look at this season. Mavs have now beaten the Heat twice, Boston, Oklahoma, San Antonio, the Hornets and that's just off the top of my head.

I started off interested but unfortunately, haven't followed it as closely as I originally planned. But hey, the Pacers are doing "OK" for now.

lol, did you bother to check and see who top in the league. Go Suprs Go, fail all others fail.
Spurs rookies, the new talents that were coming down the pipe for the last couple of years have grown in to great players and there is a lot of talent coming down the pipe. The veterans are leading the way, going for the kill and the rookies are finishing the jobs. Seems like a winning combo to me... but the time till tell... long way to go

I ALWAYS have good intentions going into the season.
Then the Bucks end up sucking and I remember how, in general, the league sucks.

I go to a few games every season with my son. Every time it is more and more like the WWF.

Worst professional sports league in America.

ya, worst than the other two, one where the sleazy numnuts take steriods to boost their recoded and the other where the players get permanent brain damage and have a brain of a 70 year old by the time they retire.

Yeah but head to head Dallas beat San Antonio when they were on their 13 game winning streak. Dallas also beat the Heat last night when they were on a 12 game streak. Dallas broke New Orleans 8 game streak to start the season. Did the same thing to Oklahoma when they were on a 8 game streak. Beat Utah in Utah and beat them in Dallas the next week. No one in the NBA has a more impressive performance this year period. Maybe a slightly better record but no one comes close as far as impressive wins vs the elite teams.

Sorry, NFL >>>>>>>>>>>>> NBA. You might have a point with NBA vs. MLB, though.

I'm a casual Suns fan, I'll watch a game if it's on but I don't look too close until the playoffs.

Spurs are the best team in the league and it's not even the playoffs, where they shine the brightest. Also, Ginobili will get no love for MVP but should be an EASY all-star for the 2nd time in his career. Now that he's starting he basically leads the team in points every game and has been clutch on defense as well as offense in the 4th quarter, especially during the last possession when the other team KNOWS he will get the ball and he still ends up scoring.

Mavs are my team as well and I'm extremely pleased w/ their playing this year. Chandler is probably the biggest reason we will go far into the play offs this year.

I wouldn't call them THE best team right now...maybe tied with Boston and SA as those two teams are pretty dominating right now as well. It is pretty amazing though how Mavs have busted so many streaks over the past month or two.

Last night's game vs Heat was such a sloppy, gut-wrenching, nail-biting game. Both sides were sloppy and the streaks were swinging so wildly!

Spurs are looking dominant with the 5th best start in history so far and the chance to improve upon that with more wins.

ATBTH - Any team but the Heat is who I root for with my Sac Kings and GS Warriors looking like hell as always. Would like to see Evans & Cousins on Sac become the next Durant and Westbrook power duo.

I also root for Darko & Love on the Wolves. Darko leading the NBA in blocks per game and looking pretty well rounded now that he has filled out his body.

Go Suns!

Ugh, my team is in disarray this year. Maybe they can pull off another huge trade, but I doubt it.

Suns might make playoffs in 7th or 8th seed. Then they will probably be knocked out in the first round.

Heres to hoping they make the playoffs

Daaaaaaaaaaaaa bulls da bulls da bulls da bulls......

Sucks we lost Noah for 3 months...but this team looks legit. Got a great PG, a 3 point threat, a post scorer and one of the best defensive hustlers in the game. Plus a decent bench. Looking good...need to keep Rose's minutes down though. Going to run that poor kid into the ground at this rate.

I'm watching more this season because the knicks are actually competitive. Now all we need is 'melo and they should move into the top tier.

The Mavs have beaten TWO good teams - Boston and San Antonio. The Heat aren't shit, their winning streak opponents were combined for like a .39 win/loss ratio. Oklahoma is streaky, it's retarded - same with the Hornets.

Regardless, it's the beginning of the season still, not even ASB. The Mavs are doing great, but not as well as the Spurs. Yes, they beat them - but that was one game and there's still 3 left. Pop has changed the philosophy of the Spurs quite a bit this year - so we'll see how it goes coming into the playoffs.

i like basketball and the nba, however i just don't like how there is absolutely 0 parity in the NBA. it makes for a predictable season until like the 3rd round of the playoffs.

oh yea, the playoffs, where 16 freaking teams (almost 1/2 the league) makes the playoffs. another stupid thing about the NBA. season is way too long.

i do still enjoy the deep playoff games though because they are all typically pretty good games at a very competitive level.

I can not look at Dallas as anything other than a regular season record queens and completely soft in the playoffs. They just don't have a killer instinct. I don't know what it is about them but they crumble when it gets into the postseason.

Starts and ends with Dirk. They've been very unsuccessful building around him, with an weak ass post defense, along with questionable SF positioning. They've always had a good PG, but when your best SG is a streaky bench player, you're going to have issues. The biggest mistake was getting rid of Avery, and then burning the team and ditching Devin Harris.
