Need a Ford part

My brother gave me his 1966 Ford Fairlane 500 Convertible, messy divorce & break-up.
So he gave me the car so it doesn't become an issue in the future.

The car is in exceptional condition, factory original 289 V-8 with C4 Automatic.
Candy red with a white top, all glass is good, no chips or cracks, minor ding in
right corner of rear bumper & a light crease in left rear fender quarter.

So then - I need to locate some parts for restoring it:
Both arm rests for doors.
the part I am having trouble locating is the left front fender leading chrome piece.
It looks like a spear point, and my be symmetrical so the right might be identical.

Any help out there?

If it was a Mustang, you could build the whole thing out of a repop catalog.

Being a Fairlane, you will probably have to look for originals. Which, these days, probably means eBay or similar. Gone are the days of finding stuff like that at junkyards, or finding people parting cars like that out.

It's still a pretty heavily-produced Ford, though, so I'd give the 'restoration' catalogs a look.

I see front fender extension pieces, but I don't know if that's what you mean.

For you captain, I'll take a look at my local pick and pull. No kidding they have a 66 fairlane in inventory!
It won't be till the 27~28 at the soonest.

Where do you live? This weekend the Charlotte Motor Speedway is hosting the Charlotte AutoFair. There are vendors everywhere selling vintage parts. They have it twice a year, so there will be another one in the spring.

You could look in your area and see if there are similar shows within driving distance.

Where do you live?

New Orleans - almost all to old vehicles, including up to 2005 were destroyed in the Katrina floods.
Also the wrecking yards got deluged with 8 -20 feet of salt water, so that went away.

Cautionary item to bring up. Your brother should be or get familiar with "willful dissemination of assets"... In a ongoing divorce she can claim that -even if he gave you the car in advance of filing divorce. Anything that looks like he is liquidating or hiding assets is fair game and her attorney can go after it all... Even after he gives you it. Worse case though is that he could be found on the hook for the fair market value and not the car itself.

Actually she signed off on the title - it was mostly to keep the car away from the kids who have a history of wrecking and trashing every car that they have driven.

Tried to upload a picture of the front of the vehicle & a close-up of
the right front fender that shows the 'Spear-Point' trim piece.
The Left side would be either a mirror or the same piece inverted.

I need to follow up here with some sad news. By the time I got there, it was gone from inventory. My only conclusion is, they crushed it. Bummer.
