Need a new VPS provider. 10GB of space. 256 of ram. 100GB BW. Nothing too fancy and would like to keep it under $30 a month. Any recommendations?
Back story : Last couple days I've been trapped by my VPS provider (Steadcom) due to their what can only be described as "utter incompetence". The server i was running on had a hard drive failure. That hard drive failure in turn caused not only their DNS server but all of the VPS hosted along with their own site to go completely down. For 24+ hours i went without email, without service. I had applied to a few jobs and had phone interviews expecting emails back and now I don't know what might have been lost there. This company had no backups or raided ANY of this server and thus screwed over a pretty good deal of customers. They sent emails updating the outage but all data was lost. They recreated my account on another "node" and now my server is bogged down, I have a new ip so none of my name servers work. Its just a complete and utter disaster.
