I would second that Golden Gate HSF. I'm running 4 of these units on 3 - 1.4GHz TBirds (running from 45 to 49C full load SETI) and one Celeron 1000 (not sure of temp yet as I'm not finished). Oh, and I'm only running the 30cfm quieter fan. Great little HSF for the price and quite compact too....
Good Luck!
Oh, and it's 2.2 inches tall if NOT using a fan grill.
w0rm, like i said before, the 8045 is too big, i own one so i know...
i think i'm gonna go with the PEP66, with its sidemounted fan i can have top blowholes blowing into the heatsink and use the hsf's fan to suck the air through
What would happen if you trimmed the 8045? You'd have to find someone with a band saw that can cut metal, but based on the design I think it would work.

The Glaciators have the fan inside, so that keeps them pretty
short. If I remember right, they are like 2 inches tall.
Get the aluminum one if you think the copper ones will
rip your tabs off (the copper one didn't rip mine off, and I went
to a LAN every other week. I put the case down so the sink
was standing up during travel, though.).
newegg has a small cooler called the "Dr. Thermal" for $22. It's aluminum/copper and has a 32CFM fan. One reviewer says he's OCing an XP1900+ with it. Looks like a cool deal to me..
