Need advice on DVD Burner?

Can anyone give me some advise on a good DVD burner to backup DVD movies & X-box games? I have it narrowed down to 2 internal drives, both at 129.00 after rebate. PLEEEEASE

MEMOREX model 3202-3235 Dual Format Drive

IOMEGA Super DVD Writer 32679 All-Format

Is one of these better than the other? Both are listed in several reviews and I can't make up my mind which would be the best one to buy.
Also if you know of a good solid backup program that works good with either of these that would make a good combo.

I just got a DVD Burner (Plextor PX-708A) for an earlier X-mas present. I backed up my first movie last night using DVD Shrink, DVD Decryptor and Nero. Burnt the movie on the included Plextor DVD+R media. My Apex standalone DVD player played it fine without any problems.

It took about 45-50 minutes to rip the DVD-9 (Spirit) and another 9 minute to burn it. One a whole it was a great.

Don't know much about either of the dvd burners you are looking at, but my recommendation would be to look at either the Pioneer A06 or the Sony DRU-510a drives at Best Buy. Think they are both a little more expensive (approx $20) or u can order the OEM drives from Newegg.com

just got the Lite-on 4x DVD+- R/RW Burner LDW-411 for $120 + mail in rebates = $80 and after having some miner problems geting nero to work and doing a nero update and updating the drives firmware it works perfectly. Might be something to look into if you dont want to spend a lot of money. It suposedly backs up xbox games nicely with the new firmware.

As for the Iomega drive i would probably try to stay away from them have seen some flakey burners from iomega and heard some horror stories on those. Anyways just something to consider.

I own the NEC 1300a and love it. It can be had on newegg for ~100 bucks
