Need Advice on New PSU

The exhaust fan on my PSU died, so I'm in the market for a new one as I figure no exhaust fan will lead to overheating and PSU death soon. My current PSU is an Antec 850 TruePower Quattro and I'm pretty sure the 850W is overkill for my setup, but wouldn't mind confirmation on that. Here's what I have:

CPU - Intel Xeon E3-1230 V2
Mobo - ASRock Z77 Pro4
GPU - Sapphire HD7970 OC 3GB
RAM - Samsung 16GB DDR3
HDD - Seagate 7200 rpm 1TB, WD 7200 rpm 640 GB

I also have 4 cooling fans and a DVD-RW drive connected. I'm thinking a 750W PSU might be enough, but wondering if that is correct and looking for a recommendation on a good model. Thanks in advance!

Allowing for slight PSU degradation due to aging, approximately 500 watts is required for your system.

Recommend using PSU with modular cables so that only cables required need to be installed. This means less cable, less clutter, easier access to other components, and minimizes airflow restriction.

Suggest a 650W or so PSU with modular connectors, and a single 12V rail, such as -

Rosewill Capstone 650M
SeaSonic S12G 650W

Thank you for the recommendations. I read somewhere that Seasonic makes the Corsair PSUs. Are any of the 650W Corsair models worth considering along with the Rosewill or Seasonic?

SeaSonic only manufacture(d) a few of the Corsair PSU's. Most of the Corsair PSU's are/were manufactured by Channel Well Technology.

The important factors for a good PSU are use of quality components and good and efficient circuit design. This should lead to long term reliability and good performance (minimal power loss, minimal voltage variation, and minimal noise/ripple).

Suggested Corsair PSU's (more expensive than the previously suggested PSU's) -

HX650 Gold <- made by SeaSonic. CAUTION! Although most people seem to have little or no problems with this PSU, some people, myself included, have experienced primary capacitor arcing, (loud) fan and other noises! I had to return my unit and replaced it with a SeaSonic PSU. You take your chances with this unit. But if you are not happy with it you should be able to return it under warranty for another PSU.

AX650 Gold <- also made by SeaSonic. May be difficult to get now, and may be much more expensive than other suggested PSU's.
