I'm surrpised you didn't mention the caffeine inhaler that thinkgeek sells. It goes in through your lungs (duh) so that the caffeine actually kicks in A LOT faster. Within a 5 to 10 minutes so im told.

Just remember... caffeine makes you more alert, not more awake. You'd need something like taurine or pseudo-ephedrines to actually keep you awake. On top of that you'd need to take something to help clean up your thought train (caffeine and taurine both make you loopy), like vinposetine and huperzine (sp?) (base ingredients of focus-factor) or just smoke a cig (nicotine helps you think, believe it or not).

After having fallen asleep at the computer several times in the middle of a paper while in the middle of an expresso binge, I would say the best advice is to get plenty of sleep and eat well. Nothing seems to work better. Now if only I could follow my own advice...

Vasapro is what I use when I need ephedrine.. its ephidrine HCL, which is not the banned version.. its used to treat weazing coughs and for asthma

Well, nocturne offers the most sound advice. Centrum Performance daily vitamin (cheap generic available at Target) actually did a lot for me once I started taking it daily. That and gallons of water a day will actually keep you pretty energetic.

Now, that said, we live in a world where many of us want to cram as much as possible into the time we have, and wish sleep wasn't necessary. So I offer you some very cheap stim alternatives:

i find what whenever i take it i can just concentrate on the task at hand intensely, its def the best way for me to learn wtuff without getting distracted

Yes. Adderall and Ritalin will keep you up and wired for some time depending on the dosage. If you do have ADD, this stuff is amazing. It lets you focus like none other. If "normal" people can concentrate like this all the time, I'm jealous. If you don't have ADD, it will just really keep you awake. That's why you hear about kids crushing and snorting it, it's apparently like some kind of cheap coke. That's just stupid and unnecessary though.
