Yes, the cpu would work fine. One thing that usually is better with non-IGP boards is BIOS config options, so I highly recommend that route if you can keep it within budget. I personally recommend the Shuttle AN35N-Ultra ($55), but it is out of stock at the moment. If you were interested in the AN35N-Ultra, you could find one from another retailer or wait for Newegg to restock it (it is highly popular so it should be in soon).
