This isn't for me, but my good friend, Jeff, who happens to be quadraplegic.
He does a fine job at being as independent as possible and has, since his accident which left him paralyzed from the neck down 13 years ago, learned to use a PC to help him maintain some level of independency. He has a Micron PIII 600Mhz, 256megs and plenty of space. Before he got hooked up with @home he no problems faxing thru the original modem on a dial-up. But now it just won't work and he asked me to help (he has no idea how little I know)
He took my first suggestion and called @home. Their response was that there is no available software that will work for him over their connection. I know almost nothing about networking, but this did surprise me.
Anyway, I thought we might be able to put the phoneline back into his modem and just do it the old fashioned way. Need to know if this might work or if it might create a hardware or networking issue in his system. I do not want to create any problems for him since his machine is so critical to him.
Any suggestions or insight very much appreciated...
