Need help please...

I have a wireless router it's a MR814v2 802.11b with the latest 5.3 firmware and I use sbcglobal for my DSL, I have 3 desktops wired hooked up to it and I have tried to connect 2 diffrent laptops to it with a wireless Pcmcia card and every time I try and search for the signal or hotspot or whatever you call it..lol the connection drops to everything like the router just quit working and I have to reset the router to get the desktops online again but I cannot seem to get the laptops to connect to it at all. The laptop shows that there is a signal but whenever I try to connect WHAM. when you input the mac address of the laptop in do you use the mac addess of the wireless card or the mac address of the laptop it's self? I am new at this and I getting so aggrivated the guy I got the router off of said that it worked fine with his laptop and the router works great with the wired desktops it's just driving me insane..lol

Thanks, I looked over it and didn't see the problem I am having listed.

You would use the mac address of the adapter. I would first try setting up the network without any security settings to determine if a piece of the wireless setup is bad.
