need help with window xp

hi,

my netbook(asus eeepc 1000ha) has a problem booting up to windows xp. whenever i boot up i go to the black screen asking whether or not you want to go to safe mode, windows xp, last best mode(something like that) and then it goes to windows xp load screens and then the blue screen of death comes up for like one second and it goes back to the black screen with all those options. i've trying doing debugging mode and every other mode (f8) and it doesn't work. so i recently added a premade boot up windows Xp on my flashdrive. and it didn't work. what should i do?

could it be files corruption? could it be that the boot up flashdrive that i've downloaded is incomplete? or should I just buy a external Cd drive and then pop in the asus cd?

I'd try removing all hardware that isn't necessary first, and try one last time just to be sure you've eliminated any chance that it's nothing but the booting files.

If that doesn't work, use the XP Install disc and select select Repair. If that doesn't work, then use the same disc, but use the disc like you're going to do a fresh install, but dont. Doing this will prompt same steps as going through a fresh install but when you get to the last step after where you want to install it, it will give a message that there is something already there and do you want to repair it. Say yes. Typically it will reinstall the Windows files over what's already there so you don't lose any critical files. After that you may have to reinstall a driver or two as they come up only if the driver you used was different then what came with Windows.

Damn, Lol it sucks.
I don't mind reformating but I just don't have an external CD Drive, and where can I download a bootable flash Windows XP(the one I have doesn't work, or it doesn't recognize that program)? I don't feel like buying a External CD DRIVE lol.

Ah, the anguish of a netbook. Since they are so new, maybe yours is still under warranty? If so, have the dealer fix it.
