Need help

Any suggestion for overclocking my friend's combo?
mother board: asus a7v
CPU: T-Bird 1.1 gig avia 200 mhz fsb
MEM: 128 mb pc 133 ram
HSF:global win

I don't know how the A7v mobo does in overclocking...but i know one thing...that AVIA's don't do too well when it comes to OCing...so i think you're better off leaving it alone. Msg compuwiz...he'll know more.

Actually the AVIA are just one stepping below AXIA and so they do overclock very well. Not sure about the 1.1Ghz variety though. Should be good for 1.3Ghz I am sure.

mcs is right, avia is one of the best overclocking steppings.

the link above isnt gospel truth, but it seems to be pretty accurate. it shows average performance for different athlon steppings.
