Need HT advice.

I am thinking of buying one of those home theater in a box deals at bestbuy for around $400. Any advice on which model? Or should I buy the components seperately? I need some Dolby digital surround,and a dvd player, it doesn't have to be awesome, just adequit (sp?). Any input would be appreciated. I have a budget of >$550. Thanks

We have the Kenwood htb503- or ht503 or hb503 or something like that
