Need laptop buying advice.

Looking to get the Sony VAIO VGN-FS8900 for about $450 + tax. Is this laptop worthy of playing video games like CounterStrike or Warcraft 3. Not a HUGE gamer, mostly play CS. I want a laptop for school and the occasional gaming.

Opinions appreciated, and please redirect if I'm in the wrong forum. First post.

dude, stop. save money and spend more. the graphics card is barely better then integerated graphics. it take RAM from the limited amount you have. look at a dell. try to find one with atleast 1GB of RAM and at minimum a Core Duo.

Sony used to be an outstanding source of getting electronics.

The Sony Vaio has its limitations, especially in the area of repair. I have virtually refused to work on any Vaio's because of their size and difficulty of repair. Try changing RAM and you'll see why.

I would certainly get any other laptop like a Dell, HP or Toshiba, before a Sony.
