Need network software help!

My question is if there is an exclusive/safe file sharing software between two computers over the net. (without setting-up a server)

Ok, here's the problem...

My sister is in Singapore and i'm in the Philippines. Every so often i take pictures/videos and would like to share them with her. The files are quite big (1-100mb per file). I have a DSL connection at home so i could just leave the connection and pc on... she browses my shared folders... picks out the ones she likes... then downloads it on her end.
That way, we could both leave it, and when we're back from work... everythings done!

set up a ftp server on your box and she can access it that way.

Filezilla FTP Server is a cinch to set up. Don't let the word "server" scare you. it is just as easy as installing and configuring a desktop app.

You just run the setup, open the management program from the start menu, create a username and password and tell it what folder to share. Other than that, just make sure port 21 is open all the way to your box (you can change this port if you want) and then she can connect to it just like any other ftp site.

She could use Internet Explorer or Firefox to connect to it, or my personal favorite is the Filezilla FTP client. A very nice thing about the filezilla ftp client also, is it will retry and resume failed downloads.
