Need suggestions on parts

I'm looking to build a computer, which I haven't done since the dot.com days. Last computer I built is an old AMD T-Bird 1.0Ghz with Asus A7v-133 in antec case (Pretty old now). I figure time for an upgrade. I haven't been keeping up with all the new stuff out there.

Anyone have recommendations for a motherboard for an Intel P4, a decent videocard, and harddrive? I can spend about $150 for the MB and $150 for the videocard. I plan to watch movies and play games with this computer.

Since you do have a budget, we would need to know not only what you can spend on a mobo, but how much do you have for a CPU and what about RAM, those 3 components need to be considered together.

Generally speaking, $150 will get you a very nice Asus or Abit mobo which seem to be the top 2 mobo brands preferred by AT subscribers.
