Wrong answer! I wised up.

OP: identify what type of trees they are. Advertise them on craigslist "5 each, you dig." You'll be surprised. (I sold about 16 pine trees that way.) I only use the tractor for trees in the "too fucking big to dig up by hand" category. It's wiped out a few 30 foot maple trees. Unfortunately, a tiny little 15 foot hawthorne tree (I HATE those thorns) proved to be too tough for the tractor. I sheared off 2 hardened bolts (thick bolts) on my dump bucket.

Doc, these were very small trees...having seen the "broken bolt" post, I presumed you might be able to handle these little trees...

Sounds like it's time for a bulldozer for the Pizza ranch.

I like the Craigslist idea, except, undoubtedly, the folks will show up without a shovel, want to borrow one from him, then steal the shovel.

What's the difference between the T and D stuff when it comes to brush like poison ivy and pricky bushes? Intarweb tells me the D stuff doesn't do much for certain bushes, especially ivy.

I stopped by lowes to pick some Beyer or Ortho tonight because they have the highest concentrations, much better than round up but couldn't find brush killer from them. Nothing but round up.

lxskllr, same with all the walnut saplings. They won't break and when you cut them, they just split and grow stronger and faster. And you are NOT pulling them out of the ground. I love all the walnut trees I have, hate all the saplings all over my landscaping/beds. I swear those things grow a foot a day.

My kids would do anything to have me purchase a bulldozer. It's bad enough that they're able to wipe out 10 gallons of gas in the tractor while I'm at work. Bulldozer? I'd go broke paying for fuel. (They want bigger jumps for their motocross track, a 100 foot table top, etc.)

I wonder what would happen if you soaked it in tree killer liquid and burned the top of the cut stump...

Lots of stuff going on there. Funny Farm anyone?

Surprised to see the school bus and dump truck about equal in pulling.

Speaking of pulling I bet a 93000 ton ship could pull a lot!

You could get it to run on a multitude of fuel types including bio diesel and even fryer grease if you like. Problem is every time the dozer is running the place smells like a Taco Bell.

My uncle spec had a back ho with a front bucket. He used it almost every day. What's stopping you? It was his favorite tool. Buy a used one.

A backhoe is not the same thing as a bulldozer though. He has a tractor already. With hydraulics one can find a plethora of accessories to add on from hoes to post hole diggers. Probably the most creative way I've seen the outriggers used was to split logs for firewood. The hydraulic cylinders on those are pretty strong.

I know. I just miss my uncle Spec. He could do anything with metal and repairing hydrolics were like inflating a tire to him. Sorry for the distraction.

This is what I remember...

I'd spend a fortune on gas driving around trying to collect fryer grease. Rural area: 1 fast food place within 30 minutes in this county. It's nice. But yep, lots of attachments for the tractor. I have a 2 bottom plow sitting in front of the barn, a back blade on it at the moment, a bucket for the front (which I removed while plowing), and a post hole digger which put in a few 4' deep holes for me this spring. Bull dozer would also be nice - I'd build a dam on my creek & make a couple acre pond back there.

How do you bring gas from the gas station to your farm / house ?
