hi i am having problem with my computer after installing a Asus Xonar D2X sound card.
here is how it goes.my system consist of mobo: Asus Rampage Formula X48
cpu: Intel Core 2 Dual E8500@4ghz
Ram: OCZ Reaper 1066(2x2GB+2x1GB)
GFX: XFX Nvidia Geforce 8600GT
Sound:Asus Xonar D2X
Psu: Coolermaster M620
HDD: 2x WD6400AAKS RAID0+Hitachi 500GB
OS: Vista Ultimate SP1x64
before i install the sound card everything was running fine with the system.however after i have install the Sound card i tried to power up the pc it failed the first POST.So i Cleared the OC and tried power up again and it works..but after the POST it stop there...It did not went on to load the vista...and i notice the lights of my LED keyboard and the Razer Lachesis Mouse was off after the POST finishes...i have tried loading the vista DVD the samething happened...after the loading of the dvd(the grey loading bar with the black screen) it stop loading and the LED of the keyboard and mouse was turn off..i tried another copy of vista DVD and the same thing happen.. after that i restart and load up bios and put the OC setting back to try is there any luck with it..it once again fail to POST.then i remove the OC even with a clearing of CMOS..and tried loading the vista DVD agn..it still fails.however i was able to get the windows xp pro x86 installed with no problem...can anyone help me on this?
and can anyone tell me why is the sound card affecting my OC?
