Hello ,
i have spoken to many people that dont seem to be able to look outside the circle when it comes to buying a new pc.
my old system is highly outdated and has been for some time now and as such is starting to get a bit annoying.
i currently have an amd 2700 xp processor running on a msi k6delta fis2r motherboard i have 1 gig of corsair ram a redeon 9800 pro 128 mb card by gexcube and a pair of 80gig seagate barracuda drives.
where my problem is , is everytime i speak to sombody about getting a new system built they recomend somthing that sounds like what i already have , and have had for nearly two years now , so i am really no better off.
i live in Tasmania , Australia , so the technology here , even tho availible from the mainland , is fairly unknown down my way and people in the computer business down here really dont want to know about all the great new stuff untill it is redily availible.
so what i need is a system , a good system , a list of all the parts i will need to build somthing that will allow me to play farcry without a jumpiness like my old one does , price doesnt worry me that much , well it does a bit i dont really want to spend any more than 6,000 dollars , ahh and not to sound like a spoiled child here , im 30 years old and manage an engineering supplies shop so no mummys not paying i am.
hope this thread does'nt cause any arguments , i just hope you can pool all your knoweledge and help me out putting together a top games box.
thanks in advance.........Matt.
