I have tried downloading it twice now, and both times my computer has had a hard crash in the middle of the download.
try the torrent version
Why wouln't you trust any torrent clients? Many are open source and thus are as secure or more so then many software packages.
I would need a client to d/l it then, and I don't trust any torrent client. Although I guess this file itself could easily be unsafe as well.
While this is now completely off topic, I don't trust torrent clients mainll because nearly every virus/trojan I have had came from some sort of download client (Like Limewire, or eDonkey). I haven't kept up on them, but even if they are open source, then that doesn't keep out malware. In fact it makes it so that it is easier to implant malware into the program.
If it were released by a respected software company free of charge (like Blizzard does) or by one for a fee, then I would be far more likely to trust that. In the meantime, I don't want to spend the effort to verify that the software is actually safe; especially since I would need to initially research how to even verify such a thing before I could even start.
Thanks for posting this, going to try it out. I honestly wasn't a fan of Oblivion, but really liked Daggerfall(i know i know) and Morrowind. We shall see if it's as "different" as they claim. Looks and sounds decent and I've been lacking a RPG to play

I finally got the game running, and am trying to like it. However, so far my main impression of the game is extreme frustration. Cant seem to find my way around the mine and the maps are just as worthless as the maps in Oblivion.
Also, combat seems quite difficult compared to the original game. I keep getting killed by the apes and the human monsters/zombie, whatever they are, and I am playing on the easiest difficulty.
I liked Oblivion but could never get into Morrowind at all. If this mod is more like Morrowind, perhaps it is not for me.
